War Admiral (left), son of Man o' War, swept the 1937 Triple Crown and won eight major races in 1938. Seabiscuit, grandson of Man o' War, who raced through age 7, was a slow starter and truly hit his stride in 1937 at 4 years old. The two went head to head in a match race in the Pimlico Special in 1938. The older Seabiscuit dominated the Crown winner, toppling the track record in a decisive victory.
