Facing just four foes in a scratched-down field, Touchuponastar and regular rider Tim Thornton set sail for the lead after breaking sharply and beat second choice Hall of Fame to the first turn. Thornton sat stock still as his mount went a half mile in a manageable 47.20. And at the three-eighths pole, Thornton knew he was a winner of Saturday's New Orleans Classic at Fair Grounds.
