MEET STATS: 53 - 187 / $314.30 (-$59.70) BEST BETS: 11 - 18 / $43.50 (+$7.50) SPOT PLAYS: 3 - 18 / $34.00 (-$2.00) BEST BET - KOMODO BEACH (5th) SPOT PLAY - MISSILE SEELSTER (11th) Race 1 - NW10501L5/Winners in the Last Start of the Base Class NW7500L5 Pace (6) OCEAN RIDGE N continues to work his way down the class ladder tonight and gets a driver switch to Jason Bartlett. The last time Bartlett drove him on January 30, he won a NW20000L5 race. (4) AMERICAN MERCURY finished second in his first outing of 2024 on 3-19 and should only improve with that start under his belt. He was in the Open Handicap on several occasions late last year. (2) ULTIMAROCA squeezed into this event by a dollar as he has $10,500 earned in his last five starts and was second at this level on March 19. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2 - 3-5YO Open Pace (5) ADAM TWELVE was second in the all-age Invitational in his last try on 3-18 and faces age-restricted company tonight. Co-owner Yannick Gingras isn't here to drive him, but Bartlett should be able to fill in quite well. (4) OAKWOOD PADDY IR has been sharp for an extended period and appears to be the main danger to my top selection. (2) BRUE HANOVER couldn't clear to the top after pulling off the rail last Tuesday and ended up parked. He earned over $163,000 last year at age 3 and could be sharper here with a start under his belt. [DRF BETS: Wager on tonight's Yonkers card at DRF Bets.com!] Race 3 - NW3/25000LT Trot (2) FULL SCALE is just one-for-29 in the win column but raced pretty well against NW2's over at Pocono, catches a wide-open group here, and gets a driver switch to Matt Kakaley. (3) WISTERIA HANOVER drops out of the winners of 3 but not more than 5 class, but all of her recent good efforts are with Gingras driving, and he's not here. I'll include but take a stand against for the win. (1) A MAJORSMACKIN gets significant post relief here after two no chance trips from the seven-hole. He was fourth against winners of two but not more than 5 company the last time he drew inside on 2-14. Race 4 - Winners of 3 but not more than 5 PM Races or 60000LT Trot (3) THE BALLYKEEL DEAL showed a lot of improvement last Wednesday to finish second to a well-meant favorite and I'll give her another chance here from an inside draw. (2) CASSIUS HANOVER has hit the board in all four of his outings thus far in 2024 and won at this level back on March 6. (1) I GOT THE TAB was a gaining second in this class most recently and has Joe Bongiorno in the bike for sister Jenn for the second time this year. Race 5 - NW7500L5/Winners in the Last Start of the Base Class NW5000L5 Pace (3) KOMODO BEACH should have picked up plenty of confidence with a facile win against NW5000L5 company last time out. He moves up in class here but offsets that by getting post relief. (7) DELIGHTFUL DUDE N was third against NW6400L4 foes at Pocono in his first outing of 2024 on the 9th of March. He shows hitting the board a couple of times against NW15000L5's at Yonkers in November of last year and picks up Bartlett. (1) HE'S SPECIAL didn't have much of a chance from the eight-hole when last seen on March 14 but moves to the pole tonight and was the runner-up in a NW7500L5 tilt back in late February. Race 6 - F&M NW2/25000LT Pace (1) WISHYOUWEREMINE raced in nothing but stakes events in a short 2-year-old campaign and starts out 2024 in this NW2 tilt. She qualified well enough down in Florida on March 16 and starts from the pole against a beatable group. (4) FREAKY is now three-for-three to start her career after she scooted up the inside to tally last Wednesday. She's the likely favorite and one to beat again. (2) NIRVANA HANOVER gained ground in the final quarter in her appearance a week ago and gets post relief tonight. She hasn't hit the board since joining Per Engblom's barn, but I expect that'll turn around at some point and she gets reunited with Bartlett. Race 7 - 15000CLM Pace (2) PRIVATE SCOTT returns on short rest here after racing on Saturday at the Meadowlands. He didn't have the smoothest journey that night as he got shuffled after leading early, but trainer Izzy Estrada is hot everywhere he competes at and this horse adds from Bartlett from an inside post. (6) SOUTHWIND ONYX steps up from the $15,000 claiming class but has hit the board in four straight appearances and was claimed by trainer Cory Stratton a week ago. (7) DAAMERICANSKY lost Bartlett but hasn't been outside the top three in his outings this month and gets an often-aggressive driver in Brent Holland to take over. Race 8 - Winners of 6 but not more than 9 PM Races or 125000LT Trot (3) YOU GOT IT closed with plenty of trot from an outside post two weeks ago and moves inside on the gate here. I think he'll offer some value and is worth a shot. (4) DYLADMAR comes in from the Meadowlands where he came home in 27 and change in a pair of tries. This horse has raced well on half-mile ovals before, too. (2) BONTONI DEGATO S is riding a two-race win streak at this level and gets post relief tonight. Race 9 - F&M Winners of 3 but not more than 5 PM Races or 60000LT Pace (7) CANNERY ROW drew outside again tonight but did gain ground in the final quarter of her race least Wednesday, and I'll use in the hopes of a nice price. (2) HUNTING LINDY has hit the board in both of her appearances at this level thus far in 2024 and gets to slide in a couple of notches on the gate. (4) ROCK MY SOCKS made the New York Sire Stakes final for 3YO pacing fillies last year and is making her initial pari-mutuel start of this year tonight. I respect her chances and ability, but will swing against for the win. [DRF HARNESS: Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter] Race 10 - 15000CLM Pace (1) CAMPORA N comes in with three straight trip excuses as he was first-over twice and then parked last week. Hopefully he can find a smoother journey from the pole here as he did roll to a facile victory in this class in mid-February. (2) IMABEACHBOY is another Estrada horse on the program, and this one rallied from seventh to second in the back-half of his mile a week ago. He also has a win against $15,000 claimers back on the 6th of March and gets significant post relief off his last two efforts. (3) LYONS PRIDE's three best performances this year have been against $15,000 claimers here and over at the Meadowlands, and he gets another chance with Joe Bonigorno in the bike. Race 11 - 20000CLM Pace I think (3) MISSILE SEELSTER was well-meant last week, but driver Jim Marohn Jr. saw he was going to have difficulty getting to the front after leaving, so he backed off on the first turn, then had traffic trouble in the stretch, too. I think his price will remain right and will give him another shot. (6) TWIN B FIGHTER has won three straight for Estrada and was Jordan Stratton's choice over one of his brother's trainees. (2) KEYSTONE DASH hasn't shown much yet in 2024 but has also had bad posts in all four of his tries. He drew well tonight, and I'll toss him in underneath.
