2025 MEET STATS: 133 - 414 / $805.40 (-$22.60) BEST BETS: 20 - 37 / $68.70 (-$5.30) BEST BET: YS SENSATIONALCITY (7th) SPOT PLAY: COVERED BRIDGE (8th) Race 1: F&M $20,000 Claiming Pace (1) DELITFULCATHERIN N is no longer a top-class mare but she's still a very serviceable mid-range claimer who looks to bounce back from last week's late failure for her new barn. Obvious tactical edge here on main threat (6) VEL I'M A WINNER, who enters the Dilloian barn off a claim and picks up Bartlett. Problem is she hasn't shown a ton of early speed so in theory she could be too far back. (7) BIG BETTOR HANOVER is a fresh face arriving from Delaware for the Stratton barn. If she were inside she would deserve a much closer look. [DRF BETS: Wager on tonight's Yonkers card at DRF Bets.com!] Race 2: NW15000 in last 5 starts Pace (5) AYE AYE CAPTAIN N has totally dominated his rivals in his first three North American starts but he's now forced to move up to face tougher and more seasoned foes. I think he's talented enough to keep it rolling. (2) FUNATTHEBEACH N drops a level, lands a good post and should be right in the thick of the action. (1) SHADOW CAT has been looking good climbing the class ladder and this veteran looks for three of four. [DRF HARNESS: Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter] Race 3: 3-5YO Winners of 2-5 or $60,000 lifetime Pace (1) CUPID SHUFFLE was no match for the hot import last week and is still shut out of the win column this year through 10 starts yet this Burke trainee finds a perfect spot here and will be odds-on to get it done. Could be a very chalky first three legs of the popular early pick 4. (7) HUNGER STRIKE arrives from Pocono for the Alexander barn and may appreciate the change in scenery. Last month he was a solid second timed in 1:50 4/5, though that was his only board finish in six tries this year. (2) RUSTY BEACH also arrives from Pocono and he hasn't been that far back in any recent starts. Race 4: NW5000 in last 5 starts Pace (1) MYULTIMATEBAXTER N hasn't shown a whole lot this season but his last effort was better when he dropped to this level and note he was Bartlett's choice of four in here, including a Blackler trainee who he's had some success with. (3) WARRIOR FOR TRUTH finished second in his last two tries at this bottom conditioned class and he draws well enough to be considered a player. (5) OUTLAW MAN N has seemingly underachieved since arriving from Down Under but he drops off a decent effort; Kakaley picks up the drive. Race 5: F&M $30,000 Claiming Pace (5) ATREACHEROUS A takes an important drop in class from the $50's to the $30K claiming level and that should be more than enough for this Engblom trainee to record her second seasonal win. (1) CELCIUS has been solid for an extended period of time and someone finally dipped in and claimed her; lands the rail and stays at the winning level for her debut with Stratton. (4) TOBAGO TIME goes second-time Lasix; shows some improvement? Race 6: NW10000 in last 5 starts Pace (5) OURMATEMENKO N is the latest Down-Under shipper, this one for the Cory Stratton barn. Gelding begins his journey off two steady qualifiers at Pocono with the trainer Cory in the bike and now brother Jordan takes the lines. Hard to get excited about anyone else in here so why not take a stab. (8) CAVIART SARGENT drops in class to a more competitive level but obviously he has a lot to overcome from the eight hole, but the price will be right. (4) BENHOPE RULZ N picks up the leading driver. Race 7: F&M $50,000 Claiming Pace (7) YS SENSATIONALCITY picked up Bartlett in her return to the Engblom barn and set a career mark; mare is back in claimers and draws outside again but she's clearly got the speed to get in play. (3) AMBUSHED goes for three straight at this level; logical. (1) BEANTOWN BABE closed well two back but her last few speed tries have been lacking; Kakaley may end up with a stalking trip from the pocket or three hole and she may be better off that way. :: DRF Kentucky Derby Package: Save on PPs, Clocker Reports, Betting Strategies, and more. Race 8: NW20000 in last 5 starts Pace (3) COVERED BRIDGE has been first or second in his last four races where he started from reasonable posts; millionaire veteran clearly draws well enough here and Stratton has tactical options. (5) SHAZAM BLUE CHIP was too far back to threaten last week and is 0 for 10 and counting but he's got early speed to get into play and figures to be closer to the front tonight. (8) RACING RAMPAGE has disappointed so far this year but that was clearly against better in the Open and Borgata. Tough call from the eight hole. Race 9: F&M $25,000 Claiming Pace (4) ON THE MONEY GB went from empty to awesome in a hurry and she returns to Yonkers off that strong score at The Meadowlands. I think the Cassar trainee will be a good fit at this level. (1) TWIN B ECHO ships up from Delaware and enters the Devita barn. She's won here a couple of times in the past. (5) WHO'S PERFECT burned major money in her last two but at least the price will seem to be more reasonable tonight.
