2025 MEET STATS: 45 - 146 / $283.80 (-$8.20) BEST BETS: 7 - 14 / $22.20 (-$5.80) BEST BET: SOUTHBEACH HANOVER (5th) SPOT PLAY: SOUTHWIND CELSIUS (6th) Race 1: F&M $20,000 Claiming Pace (2) WILDCAT ANTONIA went a long trip last week and still hung around late to be beaten by less than two lengths. Nice bounce-back from that poor effort first out for this barn. (1) FURTUNADA is back with the Laterza barn via $20K reclaim and she stays at a winning level; looks like the deserving favorite here. (4) NO WIN NO FEED A makes her second start back from the layoff and this veteran who earned close to $200K last year lands a better post and figures to be more involved. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: F&M $30,000 Claiming Pace (1) ROCKNROLL ANNIE dominated last week on the class drop and though she faces some other sharp rivals in here the Dilloian trainee finds a controlling spot from the rail looking to double up. (2) CELCIUS didn't have the best luck in the Pop Up final going the added distance but from a more traditional spot she can rebound. (3) NUTTINBUTHEBEST rolled home for the mild upset last week and she figures to be stalking again from third or fourth looking to pounce late. [DRF BETS: Wager on tonight's Yonkers card at DRF Bets.com!] Race 3: 3-5YO Winners 2-4 races or $60,000 LT Pace (8) RHYDS SUPERFLY GB has dominated in four straight since arriving locally for the Shane Tritton barn and he still fits this class for another start or two. Only negative is the eight hole but will that really slow him down at all? (1) SWEETHOMEALABAMA N has picked up small shares in his last three chasing the top choice but he was outside that one each time. Now the Stratton trainee moves all the way in to the rail and looks like the only one who could put a scare into the favorite. (2) CUPID SHUFFLE held second from the pocket last week and figures to be stalking from close up again. Race 4: NW7581 in last 5 starts Pace (2) HICKFROMFRENCHLICK drops back down to the level where he's most effective at and the Schnittker-trained veteran could be cutting the mile here or at worst stalking from the pocket; worth a try. (6) BENHOPE RULZ N was second best last week on the drop and hopefully Kakaley can have him forwardly placed again. (1) MARLBANK ROAD steps up a notch off a razor-sharp performance for a hot barn and draws best. Race 5: NW5000 in last 5 starts Pace (4) SOUTHBEACH HANOVER has been in with tough ones through his five seasonal starts and he's had a couple of tough posts as well. Tonight the Stafford trainee drops to the basement conditioned level and note he was a winner from a similar spot back in December. As previously noted this barn has been live. (3) CADILLAC BAYAMA will look to make amends from last week's loss at odds-on. (7) MYSWEETBOYMAX drops in class off an even effort in his first start off the bench. Tough post makes him a big price and maybe Yannick can get him involved. Race 6: NW15000 in last 5 starts Pace (7) SOUTHWIND CELSIUS was uncovered and ultimately broke last week, his first start after returning locally. That mile went in 1:52 4/5, something he's unlikely to see tonight as he drops to face a softer bunch. Bartlett drives. (2) BOILING OAR is logical with the move back inside. (4) MOMENT IS HERE has had excuses in his last couple but was a runner-up in his prior two versus similar. Race 7: F&M $20,000 Claiming Pace (1) SALE EL SOL has bounced around from barn to barn recently but has raced well for all connections. Tonight she lands the rail in her debut for the Godinez outfit and should be close up with a live trip. (8) LAZIN ON THE BEACH debuts for Cory Stratton off the claim and Jordan chooses her over an in-form Gillis trainee despite the eight hole; interesting. (4) WHO'S PERFECT drops in price for Engblom as she still searches for the proper level; connections obviously deserve respect. Race 8: NW20000 in last 5 starts Pace (4) SOHO DOW JONES A raced well in his U.S. debut but was outfinished late in a sub-28 final quarter. Import steps up a notch but should get it done. (8) CURBSIDE PICKUP has been a killer for the Bongiorno barn after being claimed for $15K. Goes for six straight and gets respect despite the eight hole. (1) LOU'S SWEETREVENGE was a non-factor last week after winning the start prior but he gets significant post improvement. Race 9: F&M $50,000 Claiming Pace (3) CHIAPANECAS has come up a head short to #1 in here in two consecutive starts and overall she's been much improved since moving to the Engblom barn; perhaps tonight's the night she turns the tables on her rival, as the likely second choice. Co-owner Gingras drives again. (1) PEMBROKE SOUTHIE has taken five of six for the Bongiorno barn and is in a spot to control the action again. (4) TOBAGO TIME has missed a bit of time after finishing third in the Pop Up final for her new connections; mare has been sharp in all recent. [DRF HARNESS: Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter] Race 10: F&M $25,000 Claiming Pace (2) NITE TIME DEAL is back in for a tag and from the inside post she figures to have every opportunity to run down the speedy #5. (5) BEANTOWN BABE returns to Laterza/Holland will be firing to the front as usual, but note she was caught by #3 last time in this barn. (8) WOODMERE HARRIET would get way more respect had she drawn inside; Gingras picks up the drive with Brennan sticking with #1. Race 11: F&M $20,000 Claiming Pace (2) RAISE THE ANTE is a speedy type who figures to eventually find the wire; maybe tonight she can get away with a cheap half and hold on. (3) GINGER TREE LIZ came from well back to win last week but she does have some early speed in her arsenal so maybe she can sit a trip close up. (4) AT THE HOP beat this class two back then picked up a small share when drawn outside. Stratton sticks with her over #3; she and #8 are also contenders in here.
