2024 MEET STATS: 391 - 1274 / $2,100.10 (-$447.90) BEST BETS: 56 - 112 / $199.80 (-$24.20) BEST BET: CUT N RUN N (7th) SPOT PLAY: JENDEN STRIKE A (8th) Race 1: NW17101 in last 5 starts Pace (1) FOR ONCE INMY LIFE was 35 cents on the dollar last week after being odds-on in his prior start as well but he proved no match for a classy rival. He should handle these at another short price. (7) TWIN B DELUXE was unable to overcome the outside post last week but that was against better and I'm assuming Bartlett doesn't want to get away last again. If he can get off the wings in good order he'll land a nice piece. (2) ODDS ON CAPITALISM also gets some class relief and two back from a good post he was second best. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: F&M $25,000 Claiming Pace (5) REAL LADY SADIE has performed for multiple barns over the last few months and now picks up Yannick while staying at the level she knows best. She's been collared late the last couple of races but deserves another chance. (3) NUTTINBUTHEBEST jogged in her first off the Dolloian claim and logically steps up a notch in price but lands a better post. (4) STAY HAPPY sees her tag cut in half though only three starts removed from a win in $50K claimers. [DRF BETS: Wager on tonight's Yonkers card at DRF Bets.com!] Race 3: F&M $20,000 Claiming Pace (1) ELISES DELIGHT has dominated in her last two for Laterza and stays right at the winning level while drawing best. Clearly the one to beat again at a short price. (5) FRONDEUR was a no-match second to the top one last week after sitting the pocket and she's got the early speed to set up a similar trip. (2) ITTY BITTY chased the top ones with no response last out but a rail-sitting trip here can land the veteran a board spot. Race 4: NW6001 in last 5 starts Pace (3) SOUTHBEACH HANOVER has been facing loads better lately and also hasn't seen the inner half of the gate in two months. Tonight the drop to the basement level, the improved post and having Gingras driving again figures to add up to victory. (2) ILIKEMEBETTOR A was only a minor player in her last two at this level but was handicapped by the poor draw. Move inside makes him a speed candidate. (4) HEISMAN PLAYER has been much-improved in his last couple after failing to pick up a check in his prior five. Race 5: 2-5YO Winners 2 but not more than 4 races or $60,000 LT Pace (5) CUPID SHUFFLE has been facing some tough competition most of his 3-year-old season but his last two in overnights at Pocono have been better and he seems to fit perfectly here making his fourth start since the switch to the Burke barn. (1) ICACO HANOVER was overtaken by a tough one last week, prior start was a win after pulling pocket. He draws the rail again and is a major player. (2) KID FROM THE BRONX has early speed and a much better post. Expect him to be pocketed or in a three hole. Race 6: F&M $20,000 Claiming Pace (2) DEVILISH DREAMS responded to the drop in class two back when she scored from off the pace then followed that up with a good finish at Pocono. Bongiorno trainee has Kakaley driving again looking to win another local start. (4) TYRA MAKES BANK looks like the main speed again with Napolitano. (1) HARPER SEELSTER was no match to the top two last week but those were two sharp rivals who finished in front of her and landing the rail again tonight keeps her close. Race 7: NW10954 in last 5 starts Pace (2) CUT N RUN N qualified willingly so it was no surprise to see the import race well and just miss in his U.S. debut. Clearly ready to take the next step forward. (5) IGNATUS has back class and Ahle has driven the veteran well in the past. (1) A ROCKNROLL STAR is the other logical contender here considering the move all the way in to the rail. [DRF HARNESS: Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter] Race 8: F&M $50,000 Claiming Pace (3) JENDEN STRIKE A is back locally at Yonkers for the Cushing barn and in for a tag tonight. These types tend to race well here and picking up catch-driving Holland can help the cause. (6) YS SENSATIONALCITY rode a cozy trip to the win last week and now has to contend with the move outside but the Engblom trainee is sharp and must be considered with Bartlett driving again. (5) OKINAWA BEACH A gave it a more aggressive try last start but that didn't quite work out. Bako trainee lands a reasonable enough post and would be no surprise here at fair odds. Race 9: NW21691 in last 5 starts Pace (3) SOUTHWIND PETYR has inched his way back up the class ladder by virtue of a string of on-the-board finishes and he's raced well enough to win in many of those tries. Last week he rallied to miss by a nose with Brennan and he's driving again. (8) HUMBLE A has been flawless in four wins after arriving in the U.S. but the import faces a saltier group and is stuck in the eight hole. Tonight's a real test. (7) HELLABALOU gets much-needed class relief but also a poor post. I can see Gingras getting aggressive off the gate.
