2024 MEET STATS: 369 - 1206 / $1,989.30 (-$422.70) BEST BETS: 52 - 105 / $183.70 (-$26.30) BEST BET: HUMBLE A (3rd) SPOT PLAY: PYRO (6th) Race 1: F&M $50,000 Claiming Pace (4) NO WIN NO FEED A continues to race well week in and week out as she nears the $200K threshold in seasonal earnings. Bako trainee can do it on or off the pace. (3) IDEALINFUN was able to comfortably rate leading to her most recent win; candidate to repeat. (1) TWIST LITTLE GIRL N has been very sharp in her last three including last week's good finish from post eight in her return to claimers. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: NW20000 in last 5 starts Pace (2) OUTLAW N was pretty game in defeat last out where the winner paced in 1:52 2/5. Recent import faces better here but the price will be much better and I give him a legit chance. (4) WHY NOT NOW has been a disaster this year but the connections send him to the Alexander barn and we'll see if that helps. (5) TIP TOP CAT was a good second last out to an Open/Borgata-type horse. [DRF BETS: Wager on tonight's Yonkers card at DRF Bets.com!] Race 3: 2-5YO Winners 2-4 races or $60,000 lifetime Pace I can't recall ever seeing a 3-5 morning line on a horse at Yonkers but I suppose (4) HUMBLE A fits the bill. I'll chalk it up with a cold exacta using (1) TEXAS HOLDEM underneath. (5) ALRITEALRITEALRITE has raced well recently in NJ sired events at Freehold and should fit well in this class. Race 4: F&M $20,000 Claiming Pace This race looks chalky as well with the inside few horses taking all of the action. (1) SPORTS FLIX has turned things around recently with the return to Yonkers and the barn change to Bako. Top call here going for three straight. (4) FRONDEUR has been rock-solid for multiple barns and won from a similar spot last out. (2) SHOTGUN PERSUASION finished second to #4 last start and third to #1 the start prior. Race 5: NW5000 in last 5 starts Pace (1) CYRUS N drops to the basement conditioned level, moves inside to the rail and retains Bartlett. This Shane Tritton trainee looks tough to overhaul. (5) ALEX TYE is almost always a contender in this class and did just miss from the same post last start. (2) JIMMY CONNOR B took a big drop in class prior to his last start and was much more involved. He drops further here and draws a live post again. Race 6: NW10000 in last 5 starts Pace (2) PYRO returned to Yonkers now in a new barn and took care of business. This veteran has teamed up with Dan Dube for multiple wins here in the past and stepping up to face better may not be a problem. (3) THIS IS THE PLAN is obviously no longer a stakes-caliber horse but it looks like he far from finished as he recently won at Pocono in 1:50 4/5. Burke triple-millionaire is well-spotted here. (4) JAHAN HANOVER may be at a tactical disadvantage with a couple of live ones to his inside but the Engblom trainee must be considered with Bartlett at the controls. Race 7: NW15000 in last 5 starts Pace (5) BLUE LOU seemed to put it all back together in his last start as he sailed down the road in 1:51 3/5. 4-year-old can make the front and prove tough again. (3) CASINO ACTION gets major post relief after having the seven and eight hole in his last two. (1) LUCKBEWITHALEX steps up for the third consecutive week and he's won three of four overall. The tandem of Lance Hudson and Anthony Napolitano has done very well the last month or so. [DRF HARNESS: Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter] Race 8: 3-5YO Open Pace (2) BLUE HUNT arrived from The Maritimes last month and has two wins and two seconds already. Daguet trainee was a runner-up last out to the streaking Verdun (who is stuck in post eight tonight) and Bartlett may be able to cut the mile tonight from this spot. (4) RACING RAMPAGE is arguably the horse to beat again but he's faltered in three of his last four at odds-on. (8) VERDUN is assigned the outside which may be too much to overcome but the Lachance trainee has been a monster since being claimed for $50K plus allowances a few months back. He's sharp enough to sneak onto the ticket. Race 9: 2-5YO Winners 2-4 races or $60,000 lifetime Pace (3) AMERICAGREATAGAIN comes off a toss race where he had post eight but his prior two were decent speed tries and he's back in a spot where Kakaley can be on the lead or in the pocket. Maybe he finds the wire tonight. (6) MY FAVORITE DALI doesn't have much of a career resume but he makes his initial start for Lachance off a good qualifier and he'll be a price here. If not this week I'm confident that he'll be a major player in future starts. (2) BUILD THE WALL was strong late in his local debut and just missed; 3-year-old looks like a must-use from this inside post.
