MEET STATS: 172 - 653 / $1,014.40 (-$291.60) BEST BETS: 42 - 67 / $146.30 (+$12.30) SPOT PLAYS: 9 - 66 / $77.30 (-$54.70) BEST BET - SHEIKH YABOOTY N (1st) SPOT PLAY - MILADY DENVER A (5th) Race 1 - F&M NW5411L5/12500CLM Pace (5) SHEIKH YABOOTY N was racing against NW10000L5's when last seen locally and faced male rivals at the Meadowlands in those three tries in July and August. She's back in against mares tonight, and I'll swing. (2) ANNE BONNEY N went a long way on the lead a week ago and was a solid second to the well-meant Ashtini. She gets a second chance at bottom level foes tonight from a better post. (1) SEZANA N struggles to win races but is capable of hitting the board in this class and squeezed into this event by a dollar as she has $5,410 earned in her last five starts. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2 - 3-4YO NW2/25000LT / 3-4YO Maidens/NW12500LT Drawn Inside Trot (3) BARRE BELLA disappointed in her Yonkers debut two weeks ago when she miscued on the last turn, but I expect trainer Gareth Dowse will have her figured out tonight, and maybe she'll offer a bit better price. (4) BANK BREAKS has hit the board in four of her last five outings and picks up Jordan Stratton in the bike this time. (7) SV ROYAL FLUSH owns a poor overall win record but has a trainer change to Scott Di Domenico that interests me, and I'll include. Race 3 - F&M NW10256L5/Winners in Last Start of the Base Class NW7500L5/20000CLM Pace (1) ENGLISH ROSE N has the class drop/post relief combo working for her this week, and I think she might get a touch overlooked in the wagering. (2) PLZDONTLIETOME N was third in a NW15000L5 race when last at Yonkers on August 4 and got the nod from Stratton over others in here. (4) FAIRIESDELIGHT A qualified impressively down at Harrah's Philadelphia on 8-9 and is making her U.S. debut tonight. She was Jason Bartlett's choice of a couple. Race 4 - 3-5YO NW4/50000LT Trot (5) VILLAIN exits stakes tries at the Meadowlands and won comfortably the last two times he raced in overnights at Harrah's Philadelphia and Pocono. The tandem of Dan Dube and Ake Svanstedt often do well together at Yonkers, too. (1) SECRET OR NOT invades from Michigan and is now in the high-percentage Tahnee Camilleri barn. That is an eye-catching 27 second last quarter in his local qualifier on August 12. (3) ROSALINE steps up from the NW2 class but is riding a three race win streak and has an improved post. Race 5 - F&M NW5000L5/12500CLM Pace (2) MILADY DENVER A picked up a confidence-building win over bottom level foes at Pocono in her most recent effort, and the last time she was in the NW5000L5 class at Yonkers back in May she rolled to an open-lengths victory. (3) WOODMERE SKYROLLER finally has an inside post after a number of outside draws and paced a solid 28 flat last quarter a week ago. (7) BRONZE OVER N couldn't seal the deal at 1-5 at Harrah's Philadelphia on August 11 but makes her third start for Noel Daley tonight and did lure Tyler Buter off my top pick. Race 6 -  3-5YO NW6/75000LT Trot (2) DELAYED HANOVER romped over NW20000L5 base class foes on August 12, and in theory this should be a drop. Anyway, he's another big threat for the Dube/Svanstedt team. (1) FLIP THE SWITCH is riding a five race win streak, but I don't think he's faced anybody as dangerous as Delayed Hanover yet. Tip my cap to him if he can tally again. (6) BIG CHARLIE MORAN is another sharp horse in this event, and he put up a good fight against Flip The Switch last Friday before finishing second. Race 7 - F&M NW15000L5/Winners in Last Start of the Base Class NW10000L5/25000CLM/3-5YO F&M NW9 PM Races LT Pace (3) DC BATGIRL won the last time she competed at this level on June 30 and has post relief to go with a drop out of NW20000L5 base class races. (5) BABS JANSEN hasn't been able to find the winner's circle lately but does have five straight on-the-board results, so I'll include her underneath. (2) LADY DELA RENTA A steps up again tonight but closed in 27 and change again on August 11 and is in sharp form. Race 8 - F&M Open Handicap Trot (3) WESLYNN QUEST owns the world record for a female trotter on a half-mile track and has been knocking heads against all the best mares in North America through the stakes season. (6) HEY LIVVY rallied to win at this level two weeks ago and is always dangerous as long as she minds her manners. (4) QUEEN OF ALL has a streak of top three finishes going back to June 11 at Pocono and crushed NW30000L5 foes last Friday. (3) REACHTHRUTHESKY AS tallied at this level two back and returns to it tonight after competing in the Open last Thursday. (8) CHUPPAH ON sticks at the NW30000L5 class by entering for the optional claiming tag. She was victorious last week and might be capable of overcoming the eight-hole. Race 10 - F&M NW7500L5/Winners in the Last Start of Base Class NW5000L5/15000CLM Pace (1) CORSINI A finished fourth against NW10000L5's the last time she was at Yonkers in mid-June and has raced well at the corresponding class to this one at both Harrah's Philadelphia and the Meadowlands recently. (3) BRIAR took the lead from first-over in the third quarter last Friday but couldn't fend off Tobago Time in the lane. She gets another shot against NW7500L5's here and has Stratton to drive again. (2) BETTERB CHEVRON N gets to drop again this week and is capable of turning her form around at any time when this low on the ladder.
