MEET STATS: 56 - 209 / $345.40 (-$72.60) BEST BETS: 12 - 20 / $49.50 (+$9.50) SPOT PLAYS: 3 - 20 / $34.00 (-$6.00) BEST BET-TAKE A CLOSER LOOK (5th) SPOT PLAY-TACHYON (4th) Race 1 - 40000CLM Trot (3) ALL CHAMPY had a big 2023 campaign with over $163,000 in earnings and returns to action tonight at a much lower level than he ended at last year. He gained ground in the final quarter against a pacer in his one qualifier down at Freehold. (4) FLIP THE SWITCH owns a four-race win streak in this class and gets to move in a couple of notches on the gate this week. (1) LIGHTFOOTEDLEGEND took one unsuccessful shot against optional $60,000 claiming company last Thursday and now returns to the level he tallied at on 3-21. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2 - Invitational Trot (4) NOWS THE MOMENT avoids the outside post for the first time in a bit tonight and looks like he should have an easier time to getting to the front. (2) PAPPARDELLE closed with plenty of trot last week in a second-place finish in the Invitational and moves inside on the gate here. (5) TIPSY MONI saw her win streak end a week ago but did race well and gets reunited with co-owner Yannick Gingras. [DRF BETS: Wager on tonight's Yonkers card at DRF Bets.com!] Race 3 - NW10351L5/Winners in the Last Start of the Base Class NW7500L5 Pace (4) LEVINE just missed by a neck in a quality performance last week, and I think he could be better tonight as he came into that tilt off a sick scratch. (5) GAMBLINGTERROR went all the way on the front-end last Wednesday and held off my top pick. They both step up tonight, but this doesn't look like the toughest NW10000L5 base class race. (1) INDICTABLE HANOVER drops after coming in fourth against NW15000L5 foes on 3-19. He was third at this level prior to that. Race 4 - Winners Over 30000L5/NW30000L5 to Draw Inside Trot (3) TACHYON was unable to threaten last week after he got away at the rear of the field from the outside post. He drew better tonight and was second to Nows The Moment in the Invitational as recently as 3-14, so I think he merits another chance. (4) WARRIOR ONE also raced near the back of the pack a week ago in the same event my top pick comes out of. He gets reunited with owner Gingras here, and I expect a more aggressive try. (5) CREDIT CON looks like he's back in sharp form as he's won two straight, including at this level last Thursday. Race 5 - 3-5YO 30000CLM Pace (5) TAKE A CLOSER LOOK owns a win and a second in two outings against open $30,000 claimers since coming in from The Meadows and faces age-restricted company here. (2) BIG DREAM FELLA made a miscue last week but had two straight wins in this class prior to that, and he had no ill effects in subsequent efforts after he broke back on 2-26. (1) LAZ tallied impressively from first-over at this level a week ago and could be even sharper tonight as that was his first pari-mutuel start of 2024. He also moves in from post four to the pole position. Race 6 - 30000CLM Pace (3) HURRIKANEKINGJAMES wound up fifth as the favorite in this class on 3-25 but did have to do the first-over work in that event. I think that could inflate his price tonight, and he does show wins over both $30,000 and $40,000 claimers in his recent lines. (6) PAT STANLEY N won despite not having great cover and having to go three-wide early last week. He's done well with Matt Kakaley recently, and he's in the bike again here. (2) MAXIMUS RED A is riding a four-race streak of top-two results, including a pair of tallies on 3-1 and 3-11. Race 7 - NW23591L5/Winners in the Last Start of the Base Class NW15000L5/NW10 PM Races LT/60000CLM Trot (6) YANKS DUGOUT has gone off-form lately but is double-dropping out of the Invitational and getting reunited with Gingras tonight. Hopefully that helps him get headed back in the right direction. (5) ON HIGHER GROUND continues to work his way down the class ladder here after he finished fourth in a NW30000L5 base class tilt in his last try on 3-21. (4) TOP ME OFF rallied to score at this level last week and has been sharp for a while overall. Race 8 - F&M Invitational Trot (3) NO MAS DRAMA struggled in her last couple of tries, but she does have post relief, and perhaps she's ready for a more aggressive try after a couple of off-the-pace attempts. She did win in this class as recently as 3-7. (4) QUEEN OF ALL tallied at this level a week ago and has missed the board only once in her last seven outings. (1) IMA DIAMOND BABE has been racing well against tough open company over at Pocono and has shown the recent ability to win both on the lead and from off-the-pace. [DRF HARNESS: Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter] Race 9 - NW5000L5/12500CLM Pace (4) GOTHIC ROCK drops to the bottom level and moves inside on the gate tonight, a move that often works with trainer Ricky Bucci's horses. (7) JIMMY CONNOR B was a good second in a NW7500L5 tilt last Thursday and slides down to the NW5000L5 class here. He does move outside on the gate. (2) FINAL CHEESERECIPE made a big first-over move in the third quarter and hit the board last Thursday. He's back on a weekly racing schedule tonight and makes his second start for trainer Jeff Gillis.
