MEET STATS: 25 - 70 / $115.70 (-$24.30) BEST BETS: 4 - 7 / $13.90 (-$0.10) Best Bet: PROVOCATIVEPRINCEN (2nd) Spot Play: SPEED MAN N (9th) Race 1: $20,000 Claiming Pace (6) FOX VALLEY INFERNO looked super in two recent local wins and he keeps Dunn in the bike going for a new barn off the claim while staying at a winning level. (1) DRINKA BEER also goes for a new barn (DiDomenico) off the claim and he's got plenty of early speed leaving from the best post. (3) ELECTRIC WESTERN was a bit overmatched last out when bumped to $30's but he's back at the level of his game uncovered win two back. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: $25,000/$30,000 Claiming Handicap Pace (4) PROVOCATIVEPRINCEN goes for a new barn off the claim after a long run with Peter Tritton. New Lance Hudson trainee can out-leave those inside of him and take these a long way on the engine. (1) MISSISSIPPI RABBIT just failed last out on the front end and he should be set up nicely here from this spot. (5) GIVENUPDREAMING is stuck outside his main competition again but the veteran fits nicely with these and will never be too far back in this abbreviated field. [DRF BETS: Wager on tonight's Yonkers card at DRF Bets.com!] Race 3: NW10000 in last 5 starts Pace (4) BETTORS FIRE N didn't race all that badly in his two return starts off the bench and the classy 13-year-old doesn't find that much speed to his inside; Cushing veteran looks to have a big chance here if aggressively handled. (3) HERRICKROOSEVELT N reverted to old habits last out when he broke, but he finished well after the fact. Stratton's back driving tonight and he seems to get along well with the import. (2) YACHT SEELSTER charged home last start to make it close and now he moves inside; contender. Race 4: NW10000 in last 5 starts Pace (7) HEAVEN'S GAIT is up in class for the third consecutive start after blowing away cheaper in his last two and I think he's sharp enough for another despite another outside post. (1) IDEAL STAR N had loads of late pace last out after overcoming a disastrous start and he qualified back effectively; I think he deserves plenty of consideration. (5) HIGHLAND TARTAN finally got that long-awaited win versus lesser and he has the class to take on better. Race 5: NW10000 in last 5 starts Pace (2) KEYSTONE PHOENIX came up a bit short in the late stages in his last couple but he lands in the winning spot tonight and should be able to replicate that effort from three back where he blew them away. (4) BENHOPE RULZ N was Bartlett's pick stepping up in class looking to make it three consecutive local wins. (1) AUDI HARE N was close up from a similar spot last start and can do the same tonight. Race 6: NW15000 in last 5 starts Pace (4) YAYAS HOT SPOT N gets some needed class relief tonight and note the Shane Tritton trainee was a winner in a similar class four back. (1) SEMI TOUGH faces a bit better off a solid two-move score from an outside post; Burke trainee looms large from this inside post. (2) BILL HALEY N likely needed his last start after being on the shelf for some time and he should race himself back into shape; consider underneath. Race 7: Open Handicap Pace (8) HESA KINGSLAYER N is assigned the eight hole coming off his odds-on win in the last Open contested here but this isn't the strongest of fields tonight and he could repeat with some crafty Marohn handling. (2) BRONX SEELSTER gets a bigger test for class here but he lands a nice inside post and was Stratton's pick. (5) CARLISIMO has raced huge in his last three, all at big prices, and he figures to offer good value again tonight. [DRF BETS: Wager on tonight's Yonkers card at DRF Bets.com!] Race 8: NW15000 in last 5 starts Pace (1) ARTFUL WAY always races well from inside posts and Bongiorno's game plan may be to take these as far as he can on the engine. (7) IDEAL JIMMY was a winner three back at this level, though that was from an inside post; veteran does have early speed and would seem to have a chance if Holland tries to get him in play. (2) FLAMING FLUTTER N took all the money last out and raced accordingly; tougher test tonight awaits the Shane Tritton trainee. Race 9: Winners Over $20,000 in last 5 starts Pace (1) SPEED MAN N appeared to have some steering issues when parked the duration last start when he burned tons of money (including mine). Bartlett is back driving and they did team up for a win last November. (6) ARTIE’S IDEAL was a bit short from the pocket in last but his prior efforts were solid. (3) SOME WARATAH A is fresh stock from Down-Under…as usual check the board. (2) TWIN B SPEEDO is on an insane winning streak but gets a major class test here. Race 10: NW20750 in last 5 starts Pace (1) ROCK DIAMONDS N finished pretty well from off the pace at over 99/1 facing a bit better last start and the Cushing veteran finds a very live spot here to get back to the winner's circle (I know, there isn't one…figure of speech). (4) ROLLWITHPAPAJOE is clearly feeling good again; player. (2) BO MACH re-acclimated locally last out and has proven to be capable of a bit better.
