2024 MEET STATS: 68 - 224 / $400.60 (-$47.40) BEST BETS: 11 - 19 / $39.50 (+$1.50) BEST BET: LUCKY ARTIST A (11th) SPOT PLAY: ON THE MONEY GB (3rd) Race 1: NW5051 in last 5 starts Trot (8) CHAMBA was a good second at a price two back at this level and he hails from good connections, both with trotters and pacers. This Gillis trainee has the speed to overcome the outside post and faces a very questionable field. (3) WICKENBURGH ships from Ohio and moves to the Erv Miller barn. Gelding seems fast enough to compete and has an aggressive driver. (4) QUIKSILVR BLUECHIP has offered up nothing since being claimed for $40K six races back. He drops to the basement looking for some sort of wakeup call. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: Blue Chip Matchmaker Leg #2 Pace (4) KARMA SEELSTER offered up an uncovered bid into the rated pace in round one and had an excuse to flatten out; she is by far the most accomplished local horse in here and is capable with a slightly better setup. (1) INCASEYOUDIDNTKNOW made a nice impression in her local return and obviously looms large from the rail as the likely favorite. (6) INTOTHEMYSTICMOON's last two Yonkers races resulted in a nose loss and a nose win; post is tough even in this abbreviated field. [DRF BETS: Wager on tonight's Yonkers card at DRF Bets.com!] Race 3: F&M NW10000 in last 5 starts Pace (5) ON THE MONEY GB has a series of on-the-board finishes recently and now the mare goes for the Garcia-Herrera barn via claim. At 12/1 on the ML she may be worth a look. (3) ROCKN PHILLY has not looked too inspiring in her two 2024 starts but has loads of back class and drops to face easier. (1) RACEY RICH N failed on the lead end last start but the Burke trainee drops back to the level of her front-end win two back. Race 4: Blue Chip Matchmaker Leg #2 Pace (4) DOUGS BABE A is beyond obvious in this spot after last week's finish but will probably be bet off the board. Better a short price than a long face! (5) MAN DONTFORGET ME has become a favorite of mine despite never winning for me; she has speed and versatility, and will be a big price. (3) EASY TO PLEASE hasn't been the same as she used to be but the Stratton trainee looks to have a class edge on the rest of them. Race 5: $30,000 Claiming Pace I can't recall (4) HIGH ON ROCKNROLL ever putting in a poor effort since arriving from Ohio and with the post improvement Brennan can get more aggressive with him. (2) DANCE ON THE BEACH is logical going for two straight from a similar spot; Kakaley is back with the catch drive. (3) QUATRAIN BLUE CHIP can save ground and rally late at a price; use underneath. Race 6: F&M NW5000 in last 5 starts Pace (4) COWGIRL LILLY returns locally at the lowest level she's seen in recent memory and last year the mare was an incredible 27 for 31 in the money at Yonkers. I think she gets the call over some shaky rivals. (3) BETTER WATCH IT is on par with the top one class-wise but is off to a troubled start in 2024; use caution. (2) SILENT CROSSING burned money here two back but does return with a much-improved post. Race 7: NW15000 in last 5 starts Trot (4) JULA MUSCLE PACK hasn't been at his best lately but he does get some class relief and was a 3-time winner here last year. (1) FOR A DREAMER got stuck with two eight-holes after being reclaimed by Laterza; move all the way inside makes him a contender. (2) BLACK TIE BASH returns to trainer/driver Pat Lachance and they teamed up for a win three back. Race 8: NW16671 in last 5 starts Trot (6) TEXSONG SOPRANO found the winning spot last week and dominated; 4YO pretty much gets a free wide at this level and should be handled aggressively again. (1) CRISTAL TRIO IT was a sharp winner in her U.S. debut and now trainer Travis Alexander brings her to the half mile. I'll assume she'll have no problems with the smaller track. (3) DONATO PATRIOT K lands an improved post and figures to be near the front; for a share. Race 9: F&M NW30000 in last 5 starts Pace (6) SILK CLOUD A usually responds well when sent aggressively off the gate and if Stratton can come away unscathed in the early going he can repeat with the mare. (1) MISS DOTTIE MAE is tested for class as she faces better looking for the repeat and she loves flashing her inside speed. (3) NO WIN NO FEED A is ultra-consistent for top connections and always seems to draw well; obvious contender. Race 10: Blue Chip Matchmaker Leg #2 Pace I'm not a huge (1) MIKALA fan anymore but drawing the rail tonight it should be a whole different ballgame and Brennan won't have to grind with her. Tactical edge gives her top billing. (4) DELITFULCATHERIN N almost pulled off the big upset last week and one has to assume Stratton will be firing again. Should make things tough on the speedy #5 in here as well. (2) LIT DE ROSE goes for three straight and deserves most of the attention. Will she be favored here? Probably. [DRF HARNESS: Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter] Race 11: F&M NW15381 in last 5 starts Pace (4) LUCKY ARTIST A woke up with last week's dropdown and was second best. Landing a similar spot tonight she should be tight enough to prevail. Tough call underneath...maybe (7) HEAVENS SHOWGIRL can pick off a few at a price, or (5) FAVORITE BEACH can be included as the 4YO is a two-time winner already this year. Race 12: NW7500 in last 5 starts Trot (2) PARISO comes in from Ohio and joins the Shane Tritton outfit; 4YO added Lasix last start at Miami Valley and closed with solid trot. Let's see if she can build off that effort, as Dexter Dunn sticks around for the drive. (6) BARRY BLACK gets to drop again after last week's runner-up effort. Veteran is a must-include. (1) MUFASA drops from the $40K claimers, draws the rail.
