ETOBICOKE, Ontario—Mark Casse-trained runners swept the first three positions in Sunday’s $201,200 Grey Stakes, a 1 1/16-mile race for 2-year-olds at Woodbine. Prospective ($18.50) rallied five-wide from fourth to capture the Grade 3 Grey by two lengths over Lockout, while Bluedacious closed belatedly to edge out favored Excaper for third. Prospective, with Luis Contreras aboard, covered the distance in 1:44.55, and banked $120,000 in his stakes debut for owner John Oxley. A son of Malibu Moon , Prospective wasn’t originally nominated to the Grey, and Casse supplemented him at a cost of $4,500. “I wasn’t really sure how good he was, but his last couple of works were really good, so we decided to supplement him,” said Casse. “His pedigree is two turns, up and down, and Malibu Moon is one of my favorite sires.”
