Top Pick Stats: 0-0/ $0 Best Bets: 0-0 / $0 Spot Plays: 0-0 / $0 Best Bet: LILLY CLARE (Race 4) Spot Play: LITTLE MOMENTS (Race 7) Early Pick 5: 3/1,2,3,8/5,7/2/4,6,9 = $4.80 Late Pick 5: 6/10/1,4,6/1,6,8/5,8,10 = $5.40 Pick 6: 2/4,6,9/6/10/1,4,6/1,6,8 = $4.50 Race 1: 5 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 1 (WINNERS FOR A PURSE OF $9,000 OR LESS 2 RACES) RACE OR $8,500 LIFETIME.  **$75,000 Pick 5** (3) INDUSTRIALISTS made a miscue off the gate in his career debut but recovered nicely to finish a strong second in that outing. This Herb Holland trainee should benefit from having a start under his belt and looks poised to break his maiden this evening. (5) NUMERO DIX was aggressively handled off the car in his lifetime debut and made a miscue at the 3/4 pole behind the pace setter. This 3YO son of Muscle Mass will likely be aggressive once again from his spot on the gate and can hang around for a share. (1) MEGA GENEROUS made a bobble off the gate and recovered to be a 3rd-place finisher behind our top choice. With breaks in 2 of his first 3 starts, I worry about this gelding having to start from the pole position here; if he minds his manners, he can secure a good piece. (7) TORSTON finds himself in an easier spot tonight, dropping out of a nw2. This three-time winner can pencil himself in at the bottom of the exotics. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: CLAIMING $20,000 FOR NW $25,000 (OS $31,250) LIFETIME In what I view as a wide-open affair, I’ll give (1) FISCAL POLICY (who has 1 win in his last 35 starts) the nod in a race with no clear standout. This 7YO gelding was 3rd at this level three starts back, and will start from the pole position tonight. James MacDonald picks up the lines for the first time this evening and I’m hoping for some sort of a wakeup call. (2) DM SNAKEPLISSKEN is the fastest horse in this field, but the 6YO has had difficulty pacing over his last few tries. He gets major post relief and should prove tough if he’s on his game tonight. (3) ADRATICO HANOVER exits a Pop-up series vs. a dominant rival; he draws well and will be heard from late.  (8) SMART THINKING draws outside this evening, and while he showed early speed two starts back, he’s better suited preserving his energy late in the miles; a must-use at the bottom end of exotics. [DRF BETS: Wager on tonight's Mohawk Park card at DRF Bets.com!] Race 3: CLAIMING $20,000 FOR NW $59,250 LIFETIME. (7) D A MAGIC MIKE is coming off a try in the Snowshoe series but didn’t have much to offer. He’s back in a claimer where he should be competitive and will offer a better price than his stablemate (5) HURRIKANE CHEYENNE, who is coming off back-to-back, dominant  scores and will look to three-peat here for new trainer Kyle Fellows. (6) HESTONATOR was an upset winner to kick off the Monday night card and can pick up a big piece with the right trip; he’s sharp. (4) CENTURY JAZZ was used a couple of times in the mile last time and lost to a rival who tripped out; he can land on the ticket. Race 4: FILLIES & MARES, CLAIMING $20,000 FOR NW $57,000 (OS $65,950) LIFETIME. (2) LILLY CLARE was aggressively handled from the 10-hole last week and raced very well to be 3rd. She’s sharp as of late and gets the nod with major post-relief. (4) VENDETTA BLUE CHIP is coming off a gate-to-wire score and is always a threat here. (6) FANCY LETTERING was a game winner in her latest, fending off a pair of rivals; she draws well and is a player. (3) P L RINCHENIA didn’t have much to offer despite a favorable trip, but is sent out by a barn who won three races on Monday night; beware. Race 5: CLAIMING $8,000 FOR NW $5,000 LAST 5 STARTS. (9) HAPUNA BEACH comes into this race off an impressive win at Flamboro. He draws outside but hails from a barn who has sent out 3 winners from their last 10 starters at the time of writing this. (4) KEYSTONE TENACIOUS had a sizable lead turning for home but got picked off late; he’s versatile and will be the one to beat. (6) BETTORHOLDONTIGHT comes off a lackluster effort but draws better and will pick up the services of J-Mac; he’ll be heard from late. (7) GIDDY UP MAX comes off back-to-back, 3rd-place efforts and can grab a share here, too. Race 6: 5 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 1 (WINNERS FOR A PURSE OF $9,000 OR LESS 2 RACES) RACE OR $8,500 LIFETIME. (6) MR BALLYKEEL was cautiously handled off the gate, but was vying for early positioning at the 1/8th pole, before being bothered by a rival who made a miscue in front of him. If he stays trotting, I like his chances to break his maiden here. (7) CHECK MASTER made a break in his career debut but adds trotting hopples for this contest. He was moving well late in his qualifier on 1/17 and can put forth a good showing if he behaves. (2) STONEBRIDGE GLEE is back in vs. maidens and should appreciate this spot more; that being said, he hasn’t been racing well. (8) WHOOPS is coming off a tough trip at Flamboro but switched to the pace turning for home; he can land on the ticket. Race 7: FILLIES & MARES, 5 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 1 RACE (WINNERS FOR A PURSE OF $9,000 OR LESS 2 RACES) OR $8,800 LIFETIME. (10) LITTLE MOMENTS raced well in defeat in her latest, losing to a solid debutante.  She has been racing well and I’m hopeful she can work out a winning trip despite drawing outside. (1) SUNNYS GIRL moved forward in the stretch off some whip-tap reminders. This filly has yet to show a willingness to be close to the gate and could be outpositioned early because of it. (6) AMERICAN STARLIGHT has proven to be fast enough to contend here, but is winless in 34 career tries; not for me. (7) BETTERNREDDER gets post relief here and is a horse I wouldn’t leave off the exotics. Race 8: FILLIES & MARES CLAIMING $8,000 FOR NW $5,250 LAST 5 STARTS. (4) AK BLACK BADGER comes off an underwhelming performance but will debut here for trainer Carmen Auciello, and will pick up the services of James MacDonald; I’ll give him the nod off the claim to rebound. (6) TRIBAL DANCER comes off a dominant score at Flamboro but will likely need a target to chase in order to repeat on the big-track. (1) FULL OF PERSONALITY was an easy winner but was DQ’s after interfering with the pocket sitter; she draws well and should be close. (5) GOLDIES ROCKIN has not been sharp as of late but is better than what she’s shown; she can hit the ticket. [DRF HARNESS: Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter] Race 9: FILLIES & MARES, CLAIMING HANDICAP $8,000 TO $11,000. (8) GOLDEN LEADER comes off a 3rd place effort at Flamboro but missed three weeks heading into that contest. She will make her 4th start for trainer Ron Macdonald, who is 2-2 racing her on the WEG circuit; top call. (6) WIFEY SAID SO showed a different dimension last week and worked out a favorable trip; she will have every chance to repeat. (1) DEL DIGGITY has been a beaten favorite over her last two tries but has raced well in those defeats; she’s a player. (3) TAMARA HANOVER was a winner at this level two starts back; she draws well and can hit the ticket. Race 10: CLAIMING HANDICAP $8,000 TO $11,000. (10) HEAD HONCHO drops further in class off a lackluster performance and will be tasked with an outside draw. I’m willing to forgive that try and I’ll give him the nod here. (5) MACH JACOBS sat a pocket trip and didn’t find room until late in the stretch; he’s been consistent and should be right there. (8) THATSWHATISAID has two wins over his last four tries and has shown versatility in those efforts. (7) KJ OWEN rallied nicely from off the pace to pick off the pace setter; he can build off that win but will need speed to chase. (6) HERVEY HANOVER was scr-lame in his latest and hasn’t raced since 1/2. He can round out the hi-5.
