He will likely make front early and be tough to catch. (2) NEW RULES has been second best to the one above and will likely be the only one to have a chance and getting the best of him, but he’ll need to find more. (3) DREBIN made a miscue off the gate, but was one that was trotting well late in the mile two back. He’s a good rival to pair in exactas and tri’s.  (4) LOCATELLI finished 3rd in his most recent and he’ll have every opportunity to grab the show spot yet again. (6) ASIAGO SEELSTER is coming off a very impressive career debut, which saw him drop several seconds of his qualifying prep. He draws well this evening and will be tough to beat off that effort; top call. (2) MOOD CONTROL split through rivals late in the mile to secure the place spot. He draws well and should be in contention turning for home, but will need to find more vs. the one above. (5) BETTORSEETHESHOW never looked comfortable in his latest in what was a 4th place effort. He has hit the board in 4 of 6 tries this year and will have every chance to grab a piece here. (9) BEN LOOKIN blew up the tote board in his latest try. He has to start further outside this evening and will need to work harder for a good trip. Race 4: 5 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 2 (FM 3) RACES OR $20,000 (OS $38,950) LIFETIME. (6) FADEAWAY HANOVER has started off his sophomore campaign a perfect 2-2. He has trotted the lane great in both efforts and looks poised to triple up this evening based on those two efforts; top call. (8) INCANTATION will get set for his sophomore debut off a winning qualifier. He was under a good hold from driver Trevor Henry and trotted the lane comfortably; he can grab a good piece. (5) WEARING THE GREEN cruised to an easy qualifying victory and was never asked once by driver Doug McNair. He draws well but I would like to see one tonight. (1) BUTTINSKI took support in his latest but made a miscue off the gate. He can grab a share if he minds his manners this evening. Race 5: FILLIES & MARES, NW $2,500 LAST 5 STARTS OR NW $11,550 LAST 10 STARTS. (6) MS QUICK SAND hasn’t hit the board in her first two starts of 2025. This will now be her 3rd straight start at this level and she looks as good as anyone to find the winner’s circle here; this is a perfect spot. (4) CHIKABELL cruised to a comfortable victory as she converted off a pocket trip. She will have a big chance with a good trip despite the step up in class. (8) BETTER BE DONNA N was never a factor in his latest from an outside draw. She has hit the board in 2 of her starts prior and can grab a share here again. (2) FIRSTOFANERA was aggressively handled at a big number and faded to 7th. It’s tough to back her as a win candidate but she’s one I’ll use to hit the ticket. Race 6: 5 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 1 RACE (WINNERS FOR A PURSE OF $9,000 OR LESS 2 RACES) OR $8,500 LIFETIME. NO ALLOWANCES. (2) ROLLEX was moving well in the late stages of his career debut. He gets the nod from driver Louis-Philippe Roy over another rival that he qualified, and he gets top billing to break his maiden in start number two. (5) MAGICAL BET didn’t have much to offer in his career debut. He was coming off a pair of strong qualifiers in preparation for that effort and is one to monitor.  (7) MISTY COVE is coming off a pair of solid qualifiers and will gear up for his lifetime debut. He merits respect given the connections he hails from. (1) DONTQUITYOURDAYJOB was just handled conservatively in his qualifying prep under no urging from driver Bob McClure. He is one that is intriguing this evening and is worth monitoring. Race 7:  NEW HOLLAND PACING SERIES: NW $150,000 (FM $175,000) IN 2024. NO ALLOWANCES. LEG 2. (3) MOMMA SON BYRNE is coming off a solid qualifying effort where he finished 3rd, pacing a strong final quarter in the process. He was tight on a rival’s helmet and was engaged throughout, and looks poised for a good effort vs. this group this evening. (6) LEGION SEELSTER is coming off a 3rd place effort in his latest and was no match for a dominant winner. He draws well here and will be one of the main contenders this evening. (4) BROOKDALE JOHNNY never had a chance in his latest off what was a troubled trip. He finished well late in the mile to grab the show spot and can grab a big piece with a favorable trip here. (9) STONEBRIDGE HELIOS didn’t look all that great in his qualifying prep gearing up for his 2025 debut. He has the ability to put forth a good effort, but I’d like to see a start first. Race 8: NEW HOLLAND PACING SERIES FINAL: NW $150,000 (FM $175,000) IN 2024. (4) BRUE HANOVER has been a dominant winner in the first two legs of this New Holland Series and he will be tough to go against here in the final. (3) EMMETTS BUDDY was 2nd in his latest to the one above. He draws better and will be a nice pairing if you’re looking to play a cold exacta. (2) AMERICAN HISTORY never quite looked comfortable in his latest effort. He was aggressively handled to the lead and faded to 8th. He is better than what he showed and is a threat at his best. (6) POWERTRAIN finished 3rd in his latest and will have every opportunity to grab a share. Race 9: FILLIES & MARES, NW $17,000 LAST 5 STARTS. AE: OPT. CLM. $70,000. AE: NW $120,000 LIFETIME. (2) SORCHA SEELSTER just rode the rail in her 2025 debut and finished an even 6th. It was an effort I expected given she had one lone qualifier to prep for that start. She should be much tighter coming into this race and I’ll give her the nod to find the winner’s circle here. (10) WESTERN WISH takes a drop after a 5th place effort in the Preferred. She has to start from pp10 but is capable of a good effort with a favorable trip here. (1) RAPTORS WON has been a perfect 3-3 since joining the Jodie Cullen barn. She needed the wire in her latest and hung on for a narrow score. She’ll be in contention again. (3) GRIT N GRACE missed nearly one month coming into her latest but was comfortably handled to victory. This is a tougher group but she can still put forth a competitive effort here. Race 10: PREFERRED. (4) MERIGO MAGIC was sharp in a 2nd place effort in his latest. He continues to improve with every start and should have every opportunity to get the job done late, in a race where I see some action despite a compact field. (5) ODDS ON CAPITALISM was sharp in victory, making a few moves in the process. He will be looking for his fourth straight win and will have every chance. (3) TAURASI doesn’t look like he’s fully at his best but should be improving with every start. He can grab a share. (2) FORTIFY qualified nicely coming into this effort. We will side with rivals who are tighter at this time. Race 11: 5 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 3 RACES OR $68,750 (OS $79,500) LIFETIME. (3) REGIL BUBB rallied from way out to be a narrow 3rd. He draws inside and will clearly be the one to beat in this spot. (7) SOUTHWIND INFUSION deserved better in his latest after going a tough trip and getting picked off by a rival with a better trip. He can grab a big piece here. (4) SMOKIN HOT DUDE found a seam up the inside late to get up to beat the one above. He draws well and will be involved early yet again. (5) OVERTHINKING grabbed the show spot in his latest and he will have an opportunity to pick up a piece in this spot. Race 12: FILLIES & MARES, 5 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 2 RACES OR $37,500 LIFETIME. (7) COCO PUFF POWER will make her 5th start here in 2025 and is coming off a winning qualifier in preparation for it. She adds Lasix and I think that addition could be of a great benefit. Top call. (4) DG HOLI SHAMOLIE raced very well in a winning effort. She steps up here but is one that can grab a big piece if she’s in contention. (6) JOB HUNTER is coming off a lackluster effort but is better than what she’s shown. She draws well and will take advantage of this pot. (1) ALLSMOKENOMIRROS grabbed a share in her latest vs. tougher. This is a group more to her liking and she can grab a piece here. (4) SERIOUSLY HANOVER came first up in his latest and was repelled by a strong winner. He still finished 3rd in that contest and has raced well in two starts for new trainer Duane Marfisi. I’ll give him top billing here. (2) CODENAME CIGAR BOX plunges in class after taking on much tougher company. He will be the race favorite here and will definitely be the one to beat in what is a much softer spot. (5) HIGHLAND BEACHLOVER is coming off back to wins. He’s stepping up in class but is racing well enough to grab a share.  (8) SARGEANT SLAUGHTER was claimed out of his most recent try and will now race for new trainer, Garry Merner. He draws outside but will be in the mix. Race 14: HORSES THAT HAVE STARTED FOR A PURSE OF $15,000 OR LESS IN ONE OF LAST 3 STARTS. – JACKPOT HI 5 MANDATORY PAYOUT (3) ALL BETS ON TEX was aggressively handled in his latest and finished 3rd despite a first-over bid. He draws inside this evening and should be able to work out a favorable trip because of it. (10) KOLBY TWO STEP was a dominant winner in his latest but draws outside in an overflow field of 12. He will have to work harder to grab a seat early but has the talent to double up in this spot. (1) ELLIOT MOOSE rallied nicely off the pace in his latest to be 2nd to a dominant rival. In a race that should see some action, he could really benefit here. (8) PIPEWRENCH CHARLIE was a winner in his latest and will draw outside yet again. He will have to work harder to get involved but should be good for a piece. (7) STONE CARVER failed to hit the board in his latest but gets the nod from James MacDonald over a few rivals in this contest. He can hit the ticket. (12) VINO LOUIE starts from the 2nd tier but will likely have live legs late and that’s good enough to land somewhere on this Hi-5 ticket.
