(2) CHIEFS DREAM GIRL paced a sub-56 middle 1/2 to take control last week but that effort took its toll late and the pocket sitter re-rallied to get past her late. She can add some value to the exotics tonight. (6) SETTN A PRECEDENT was under driven last week and it probably cost her a win. She is sharp and she should be in the exotics mix again. (8) POWDER PLAY is another sharp mare that should have a say here but she loses Borth to the choice. I’ll use her on the bottom. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: NW $9,100 L5 or NW6 LT AE: starters for a purse of $12,000 or less L3 (1) STORMALONG gets class and post relief tonight and he gets McNair back and all of those factors in his favor can add up to a win here; top call. (5) SOMETIME SOMEWHERE dropped to this level and popped two starts back and he is the one to fear dropping back to this level again. (7) WHICHWAYTOTHEBEACH raced well in defeat last week. He is another sharp horse that is a possibility for the early Pick 5. (8) ARMOR SEELSTER won as expected in his comeback race, but this is tougher, and he will likely sit back and rally for a share. [DRF BETS: Wager on tonight's Mohawk Park card at DRF Bets.com!] Race 3: NW $20,000 in 2023/24 (4) B STONEY had no shot from post 9 facing better in a 12-horse field, but he drops and likely pops starting from a better post now. (5) CONTROL THE POWER has a similar profile as the choice and he should get put into play early starting from one of the best posts tonight; using. (8) HES SWIFT races well at this level but he will likely have his hands full with the two droppers tonight; using underneath. (3) ROCK N ZEUS should lay closer early moving to an inside post and he can land in the bottom of the exotics. Race 4: NW $15,250 L5 or $30,000 L10 AE: NW $115,000 LT - Pick 4 (1) CENTURY HEINEKEN chased a tough winner home last week and he has a big shot of leading all the way here facing easier. (4) JABBERWOCKY finished just behind the choice last week and he will likely blast and look for the front or the choice’s pocket. I can see these two battling it bout to the wire for the win. (8) JILLIBY DYNAMITE A was a nice winner last week but I’m not sure he will be able to make front against the two choices here and he is one I will use underneath. (5) LIVINTHEBEACHLIFE got a great trip to win last week. A small share is likely for him this time. Race 5: F&M NW $8,000 L5 AE: NW6 or $87,000 LT AE: OPT CLM $50,000   (4) MY HUNGRY GIRL raced better last week when she returned to a 7-day cycle, and she should be even sharper here. She fits well and McNair will likely activate her leaving the gate; top call. (7) IMA DOLL’s comeback race was decent, and she should be sharper tonight. Borth chose her over (5) ALABAMA HANNAH.  The latter blasted off the gate last week and she stuck around for a share despite getting used hard early. She loses Borth but she can get a good trip racing near the front tonight and she is in with a chance. (8) COZ IM SPECIAL is capable of better after showing nothing from the rail post last time. I can see her getting better position tonight and she is worth a look for the multis.   Race 6: NW $9,100 L5 or NW6 LT AE: starters for a purse of $12,000 or less L3 - Pick 5 The last time (3) THE GREEK FREAK raced this low he was a winner with Young driving on 12/2/23. This is a field that he can beat if he gets a decent trip. (4) AMERICAN CLASSIC set a wild pace and held on for a 1:50-flat score two starts back in New Jersey then he faced some tough ones in New York. He fits well here, and he figures to be the main threat. (6) HUNGRY MAN raced okay in defeat to a classy rival last week and he is another in with a shot. McNair will likely put him in play leaving the gate. (5) HESINCONTROL fires back fast after winning here Monday night but this is a much tougher spot. A small share is likely his ceiling. Race 7: NW $4,000 L5 or $13,300 L10   (3) MR IBIZA gets McNair back tonight and he chose him over other live contenders. An aggressive steer similar to the one he got when he won two starts back is likely coming and he is the one to beat. (2) KOPI LUAK takes a big class plunge, and he should wake up in this spot. He is the other one that I’ll use on multi-race tickets. (8) PIPEWRENCH CHARLIE is another dropper that figures in this spot and Cullen will likely reverse tactics and try sending him vs. this group. He’s not out of it. I’d like (9) BEYOND BETTER more if he drew better. From out there, I can only use him underneath. Race 8: 5YO and younger NW2 or $30,000 - Pick 4 (7) TARQUINUS HANOVER fired identical 27 2/5 kickers in his last two starts, once to get a win then once to miss a check racing over his head in the Snowshoe series last week. He fits better tonight facing NW2 and I’ll try him at a price. (8) SPORTY BOB was a strong winner at this level last week and he is the one to beat here. He’s hard to leave off multi-race tickets. (6) BRADY HANOVER looked like he didn’t fire his best shot last week racing over a good track. He is capable of better, and he can take a share here. (3) COLD CREEK GUERERO got a perfect trip, but he couldn’t threaten Sporty Bob. He should be part of the exotics again. Race 9: PREFERRED (5) TAURASI didn’t look that sharp last week after missing three weeks and he still got the job done. Him returning to a 7-day cycle tonight is likely bad news for his five rivals but he will be 1 to 9 again. (3) CODENAME CIGAR BOX gave the choice a good tussle last week but if he couldn’t beat him then, I don’t see him doing it now. He probably completes a chalky Exacta. (1) MOMAS SON BYRNE came back sharp, and he can sit an inside following trip and land a share tonight. (4) POINTS NORTH is as game as they make ‘em and he will likely grind out another slice here. [DRF HARNESS: Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter] Race 10: CLM $50,000 (6) WOODMERE FENN continues to race well and pass horses late and moving to the best post might help him lay closer to the front tonight which is what he needs to notch another victory. I’ll side with him expecting a good price here. (7) MASKEDMAN is razor-sharp and Filion sided with him over others. He should be right there again tonight. (4) SOMEWHERENTUSCANY grinded out a first-over win last week but he loses J Mac now. He is sharp and dangerous, but I would want at least 5 to 1 with him switching Macdonalds in the bike. (3) JACK PANIC likely closes from the back to take a slice here. Race 11: 5YO and younger winners of 2 but not more than 4 or $45,000 LT (3) ONTOP RAINMAN couldn’t get into a live flow last week, but he closed willingly once shown racetrack in the lane. That was a good comeback effort, and he gets top billing here moving to a much better post. (7) LARCENY was live but too far back to catch the winner last time. He should get a more aggressive steer from Drury in this spot, and he is another that can take this finale. (5) KAPTAIN KARLOS is another that comes in off a solid effort and he fits well in this spot. He is another viable option for the late Pick 4. (6) BETS SHOW OFF never misses the top four it seems, and he should be part of the Super here. (2) GENTLEONMYMIND had an impossible trip last week. He can get better position early in the mile and he is worth using underneath.
