Top Pick Stats: 570 - 1739 / $2,978.90 (-$499.10) Best Bets: 86 - 163 / $306.70 (-$19.30) Spot Plays: 30 - 166 / $186.90 (-$145.10) Best Bet: CAMARA MOMENT (5TH) Spot Play: SIDDHARTHA (6TH) Early Pick 5: 2,4,10/1,2/4,8,9/4,5,7/3 = $10.80 Late Pick 5: 1,3,5/5,8/1,6/7,9/7,8 = $9.60 Early Pick 4: 4,5,7/3/1,3,5/5,8 = $3.60 Late Pick 4: 1,6/7,9/7,8/2,4 = $3.20 Race 1: 2YO and 3YO colts and geldings NW2 or $15,000 LT **Gtd. $100,000 Pick 5** (10) BET THE BB faces tougher here but the way he won at 1 to 9 in his Mohawk Park debut suggests he will be up to it; top call. (4) ALLBETSONFRITZ raced okay against Shreddar who has been a killer racing against maidens. He blasted off the wings from the 10-hole, took a seat, then tried it first up. There are no Shreddars in here and that gives him a decent chance. (2) BACK TO THE FUTURE was 2nd to Shreddar and he is another that is in the mix here. (3) CHEDDAR DUHARAS should go better here starting from an inside post this time; price look for the exotics. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: 5YO and younger CLM $50,000 This race looks like it will boil down to a battle between (1) ACAPULCO SUNBURN and (2) PALLADIUM HANOVER. The former gets a better post and Macdonald back in the bike tonight and I’ll give him a slight nod. The latter raced well from a wide post in defeat last night and he will likely be the one to catch. (7) SUN CHIP gets McNair tonight and he was 2nd in a 1:50-flat mile the last time they paired up five starts back. He is the third one to consider for early Pick 5 tickets. (3) BROOKDALE MIKI will likely close for a small share in this spot. [DRF BETS: Wager on tonight's Mohawk Park card at DRF Bets.com!] Race 3: NW $4,850 L5 or NW $32,000 in 2023 (8) ROCKME ROLLME drops and gets Macdonald back and that has been a recipe for success in the past. I’ll give him a slight nod over other droppers. (9) HAIL CHRISTIAN N closed well in a fast race now he drops back to the level where he jogged three starts back. He should be right there vs. these. (4) CENTURY HEINEKEN led to the stretch vs. better when he was favored, and he drops again but he faces other droppers here and he missed a week. I wouldn’t take a short price here. More was expected from (5) BEYOND BETTER last week when he dropped to this level. This is no easy spot and he likely finishes on the edges again.  Race 4: Horses that have started for a purse of $9,000 or less in 1 of L3 - Pick 4 (5) CONTROL THE POWER jogged in a bog over a sloppy track that was rated off by fives seconds in Ottawa and he seems to fit well here; top call. (7) SOMEWHERENTUSCANY missed three weeks, but it might not matter in this spot racing off the Moreau claim with J Mac in the bike. (4) FULL DISCLOSURE has been facing tougher and Gois is capable of blasting with him in this spot; price look for the multis. (10) BETTER BE GOUDA has the speed to get position leaving the gate and that puts him in the exotics picture; using underneath. Race 5: NW $9,400 L5 or $18,750 L10 (3) CAMARA MOMENT makes his sixth start back and he takes a big drop after racing better last week. McNair should send him right down the road here. (4) BEE TWO BEE is the other dropper in here that should improve. He should be an Exacta factor. (9) CODENAME CIGAR BOX dropped and crushed as expected but he faces tougher now and draws poorly; small share predicted. (5) NAUTICAL HANOVER should be able to close for a small share in this spot. Race 6: NW $15,000 in 2023 - Pick 5 (5) SIDDHARTHA raced decently at this level last week, but the winner was simply too good. I’ll give him the nod in this spot. (1) THRILLING TIMES was also a distant 2nd at this level now he gets Macdonald. He is an obvious threat here. (3) KINCAID SEELSTER raced okay considering he missed close to six weeks. He is another to consider for multi-race tickets. (9) SWEET DEISEL should be able to land another small share in this spot. Race 7: NW $14,000 L5 or $27,750 L8 AE: NW6 or $100,000 LT Imagine pacing a 1:49 1/5 mile in mid December at Mohawk Park and getting beat by more than two lengths? That was (5) DONTTOUCHMYTRUCK last week when he ran into a horse that freaked on the engine. He remains sharp and he is the one to beat here. (8) FUNATTHEBEACH drops and gets Henry back and he should be a speed threat here; using. (6) THE LIGHT SPEED gets class and post relief, and he can close for a share in this spot. (7) BACKSTREET GAMBLER exits the same race as the choice, and he is capable of landing in the exotics tonight. Race 8: 5YO and younger NW2 or $30,000 LT - Pick 4 (1) FULL HORSE hung in there well considering how hard he was used at the start of the race last week. I think he makes a middle move to the front tonight and leads the way home from there. (6) THATLL BE TIGER was too far back last week and he draws best now. He should be closer early this time and that makes him an Exacta factor. (8) BRAXTONS BOY is worth a look for the exotics on the barn change here. (3) GENTLEONMYMIND took advantage of a slowing late pace when he beat the choice last week. I don’t see him getting the same setup here and I’ll use him on the bottom. Race 9: PREFERRED PP 1-4 drawn and PP 5-9 drawn (7) COVERED BRIDGE ships north after winning an all-out war vs. hot Desperate Man on Monday night and I’ll give him the nod here. (9) TAURASI was much better as expected in his second start over the track, and he figures to be the main threat. (5) EMMETTS BUDDY shows up every week, but this is a tough spot. I see him closing for a share. (8) LIVINTHEBEACHLIFE should get positioned near the front early and stay for a share. [DRF HARNESS: Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter] Race 10: 5YO and younger winners of 2 but not more than 4 or $58,000 LT The two outside horses stand out here. (8) TALK RACY TO ME made a couple of moves to take a new life’s mark at this level and he gets the call to repeat. (7) KAPTAIN KARLOS draws better, and he should get better position early in this mile starting from a better post. He figures to be the main threat. (1) BEACH TOUR comes off a decent effort at this level and he should be in the mix here. (5) CONTROL THE GOLD gets Macdonald here but I still prefer to use him underneath. Race 11: NW $1,850 L3 or NW $21,000 in 2023 (4) ACTOR HANOVER drops to a logical spot here and Macdonald will likely send him down the road as the chalk. (2) ALABAMAJAMMA fits better here, and he adds Lasix. McNair has been hot recently, and I’ll use this gelding in the late Pick 4. (3) SEA LAIRD comes off a decent try in Rideau’s top class. He can close for a share here. (6) FOREFATHER should close for another share here. (1) HIGHLANDBEACHSBEST raced okay in his first start back last week to take a slice and he can be part of the exotics again.
