I'll give him the nod in this third start back. (10) SUPPLEMENTAL FEE almost got there last time at this level when he had missed three weeks. He returns quicker now, and he is in with a decent chance despite drawing widest. (4) FLAG PARTY was close at this level two starts back and he is in with a shot despite facing some sophomores here. (3) MINNETT should get a share in this spot if he can stay flat this time. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: NW $2,000 L3 AE: OPT CLM $15,000 (7) PHEONIX closed well vs. tougher on Monday night and he finds a good spot here. I imagine he will get sent forward leaving the gate tonight; top call. (8) JACK FIRE drops to the bottom where he could wake up in a big way; using. (4) MISTER MAGIC had his eyes on the front end last start but he never made it and he got hung out. He could clear this time and that makes him a threat. (5) TESLA SEELSTER was racing okay in the top class at Monticello, and she seems to fit well here but she has missed a month. I'll use her underneath considering that absence. [DRF BETS: Wager on tonight's Mohawk Park card at DRF Bets.com!] Race 3: F&M 5YO and younger winners of 2 but not more than 4 or $45,000 LT AE: 4YO and 5YO to be claimed for $50,000 (3) JM BETONSIX was a narrow loser to the same mare in two straight and with that one gone now; she gets top billing. (8) SUNSHINE SALLY was a game 3rd finishing behind the choice last week. I could see her sitting the pocket and pouncing late; using. (5) DUCHENNE was closing on the top two late and she can improve in this second start over the track since returning from Kentucky. She is another in with a chance. (7) THE IDEAL HUNTRESS probably leaves for position and likely sticks around for a share. Race 4: 5YO and younger winners of 2 but not more than 4 or $49,500 LT AE: 3YO 4YO and 5YO to be claimed for $50,000 - Pick 4 Improving (1) PALLADIUM HANOVER engaged in an all-out sprint with iron tough Winmebak in the Grassroots final and fell just short. He faces some elders now, but he is sharp, and I'll give him a slight nod. (4) FOREFATHER closes in 27 or faster every week and he took advantage of some battling to sail past them all last week. He is in peak form; obvious threat. (2) MARSHALL ZHUKOV has won 12 of his last 20 starts in the past two seasons and he shoots for a sixth straight win here. Macdonald sticks and he is a contender. (3) WOODMERE FENN keeps coming close but also falling short. I'll use him underneath. Race 5: F&M NW $16,500 L5 AE: NW 10 LT or NW $70,000 in 2023 (4) MYSTIFYING gave So Much More a scare last week and that makes her the top pick vs. these. (10) WESTERN WISH comes out of the same race, and she will likely blast from the outside to get position early in this mile. She can win here if she works out a decent trip. (9) VELVET STINGER is capable of closing for a share in this spot; price look for the exotics. (7) ONE LAST WISH is a sharp sophomore that is in here prepping for the $250K Superfinal next week. A conservative drive is likely coming here. Race 6: 5YO and younger NW2 or $30,000 LT AE: 3YO NW $3,500 L3 - Pick 5 (7) THE SERPENT stepped up last week and he took back immediately then he paced a sub-54 back 1/2. A speed blast could be coming now in this second start at this class; top call. (6) BETTOR ON ICE raced well in defeat at this level and he should be the main threat here; using. (8) NEW SHOOTER, winner of two of his last three, steps up but this isn't the toughest NW2 of $30K field. He is in with a decent chance here. (3) CRUISE HANOVER raced decently first up last time, and he should be good for a share. Race 7: NW $14,500 L5 or $100,000 LT AE: NW $50,000 in 2023 (9) NAUTICAL HANOVER drops and gets Roy, and he will likely be much more aggressive early in this mile; top call. (7) BEYOND BETTER steps up but he just took a new life's mark, and he is in dangerous in peak form now. (3) POSEIDON SEELSTER has been facing a steady diet of tougher company and he is hard to toss from multi-race tickets in this spot. (2) STOP THE SHOOTIN will be passing horses late again and he should be in the Tri or Super. Race 8: Jimmy Freight Stake (5) RESILIENCE has been the best offspring of Jimmy Freight all year and she should beat the boys at a short price in the race against her siblings. (7) PORTERS MAN was stopped on after two starts in July and brought back for a tightener last week leading to this $100K stake. He is capable of making a race of it if he produces his best and he will be driven more aggressively tonight; using. (4) COWBOY CARGO shows Grand Circuit and Gold lines but also some gait issues. I'd demand a price here. (8) ROCKET FREIGHT gets Macdonald, and he should be good for a share despite drawing widest. Race 9: PREFERRED 2 - Pick 4 It’s (4) JIMMY FREIGHT's night, so let's call him to get the job done in what should be a good spot for his return to the racing wars. (3) EMMETTS BUDDY has been one of the sharpest horses on the grounds the past few weeks and he will be closing fastest again; using. (5) POWERTRAIN led, got shuffled, then re-rallied. He could go a long way on the lead here. (2) SOUTHSIDE EDDY survived an insane trip on the front where he took no prisoners and set some wild fractions. I doubt that same strategy will work here and wonder how much is left in the tank after he took a new mark of 1:47 4/5. I'll play to beat him here. Race 10: NW $20,000 L5 AE: NW9 or $155,000 LT (2) ROCKABILLY REBEL N shows matched 26-flat kickers and he should be tough to hold off in this spot. (7) UNCLE SHANK N was freshened, and he should be firing to the front tonight and playing come and catch me. He will be on my late multi-race tickets. (6) COLD CREEK QUESO drops back down to a better spot where he fits. He is in the exotics mix. (5) RON is a great one to use on the bottom of exotics bets virtually every week. [DRF HARNESS: Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter] Race 11: 5YO and younger NW2 or $30,000 LT AE: 3YO NW $3,500 L6 This is a field that (5) DAY TRADER should beat, and McNair will probably blast with him and try to control the race; top call. (2) HES SURE GOOD threw a clunker in at the wrong time and missed the Grassroots semi-final. He should rebound here, and he is the likely main danger to the choice. (8) HIGH VOLTAGE DEO has been right there in every start since he came off a rest and he is in the exotics mix here. (1) MUFFERAW JOE will likely sit a following trip and rally for a share. Race 12: NW $8,800 L5 AE: NW7 LT (4) HIGHLANDBEACHLOVER gets needed post relief here which should translate into a much better trip. I see Roy firing off the gate with him and working out a good trip racing close to the front throughout; call to upset. (5) DREAMFAIR ARNIE B disappointed as the chalk last week but still paced in 1:50-flat. Class relief might be all he needs here. (6) ROCKME ROLLME is another dropper in with a shot. J Mac will probably leave with him and that’s when he gets his best results. (1) WRITE ME A ROSE takes on elders here, but he fits well enough to land in the exotics. (2) ROLL WITH THE FLOW is a good one to use on the bottom starting from the inside tonight.
