Top Pick Stats: 55 - 175 / $287.40 (-$62.60) Best Bets: 9 - 16 / $26.20 (-$5.80) Spot Plays: 2 - 16 / $6.50 (-$25.50) Best Bet: WHITE TIGER (1ST) Spot Play: BET ON BRETT (2ND) Early Pick 5: 6/3,5/5/1,2,6/7,8,9 = $3.60 Late Pick 5: 5,7/2,6/6,7/2,4,7/4,9,10 = $14.40 Early Pick 4: 1,2,6/7,8,9/5,7/2,6 = $7.20 Late Pick 4: 2,6/6,7/2,4,7/4,9,10 = $7.20 Race 1: NW $14,000 L5 or $27,000 L10 AE: OPT CLM $70,000 **Gtd. $100,000 Pick 5** (6) WHITE TIGER wins last week if he stays flat and this spot is no tougher. He can make amends if he stays trotting tonight. (7) GIGONDAS took all the action last week and he easily converted. This is tougher but he is sharp, and he can be an Exacta factor. (5) PATRIARCH HANOVER raced better last week when he deployed a closing style. He can come on late again here and land in the Tri. (3) FRANKS ANGEL will likely sit another trip racing near the front and stay for a slice. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: CLM $8,000 (5) BET ON BRETT has taken eight wins and three slices in 11 starts since moving into the Waxman barn last October and he ships into Mohawk Park as sharp as a tack. I’ll give him top billing over (3) COIN FLIP, who comes off a sharp win after getting an aggressive McNair steer. (7) MACH ART IN MOTION fires home every week and he should be passing rivals late again to take another share. (2) SAVOIR DUHARAS takes frequent small slices, and he is a good one to use on the bottom. [DRF BETS: Wager on tonight's Mohawk Park card at DRF Bets.com!] Race 3: PREFERRED This is the first time that (5) AMIGO VOLO races back on a 7-day cycle and I think he goes to the front and dominates tonight. (4) ONEY HALL figures to be the main threat to the choice, probably racing out of the pocket this time. (6) SOUTHWIND ONCORE upset the top two choices last week but I don’t see him getting the same trip this time; using underneath. (3) HANDSOME SEBASTIAN has been on a roll with Filion driving but he’ll have to prove he is an Open trotter here. I see him taking a small share. Race 4: CLM HDCP $19,000 to $24,000 - Pick 4 (2) SWEET DEISEL was a popular winner on the drop and pop here last week and he looks good to repeat facing similar here. (6) KINKAID SEELSTER was too far back last week now he draws best and he can be a threat here at a price; using. (1) NORTHERN SPY has been sharp for several weeks and he was just nailed late by the choice last week. He should be right there again tonight; using. (5) MACH IMPACT raced better last week when 3rd to the choice but he tends to make his move too late. I’ll use him on the bottom here. Race 5: CLM HDCP $55,000 to $65,000 (7) BUCK DANCER was live in the lane last week but he couldn’t get through and he was forced to alter course in deep stretch and angle to the extreme outside. In a class where they seem to take turns every week, I’ll land on him at a price. (8) CROSSFIT looked good rallying late to win last week and he should get a solid pace to chase here; using. (9) CHULO’s second 1/4 charge to the front is what probably stung him as he gave up a clear stretch lead when 3rd to the choice. He should be a speed threat again here and he can win if he clears quicker. (3) NASEY tried it first up and that didn’t work out last week. I think he sits back and rallies for a share this time. Race 6: CLM HDCP $10,000 to $12,000 - Pick 5 (7) ISITFRIDAYYET wasn’t very good last week when claimed but he probably wasn’t as bad as his charted line indicates because he was stuck behind a dead horse forever and couldn’t advance. It’s quite possible he could reverse his form in this first start off the claim for Waxman; top call. (5) HES GOT SWAGGER did all the work in a fast mile and he is the obvious one to beat here. He’s hard to leave off multi-race tickets. (2) MACH JACOBS has finished 3rd in four of his last six starts. He’s a good one to use on the bottom of the Tri. (1) HIGH FLYIN JAMIE is another that should be passing horses late. He can land in the bottom of the exotics. Race 7: 5YO and younger NW2 (F&M3) but not more than 4 (F&M5) or $45,000 LT - Pick 4 (6) SPECIAL MISSION hinted that he had a big mile coming when he flew home two starts back then he came back and jogged at this level. He looks good to repeat coming right back at the same level. (2) CENTURY JAGUAR made a nice late charge to get 2nd behind the choice. He can turn the tables if he gets away closer to the front tonight; using. (3) GLENFIDICH was too far back last time. He should get a slice here if he lays a bit closer to the front. (5) MERCUTIO is in the mix every week and he can better this placing if he gets another good trip.  Race 8: CLM HDCP $10,000 to $12,000 (7) HAPUNA BEACH drops back to the level where he was dominant and he gets a key driver change to Roy. He is the one to beat here. (6) WINDSONG GRAYSON has been handled more aggressively by McNair since being claimed by Fellows three starts back and he figures to be the one to fend off late here; using. (3) JJ TOMMY got a perfect trip last week that likely won’t be repeated here. I’ll use him underneath. (1) NO TIME AT ALL is in solid form and he can take another slice here. [DRF HARNESS: Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter] Race 9: NW $8,000 L5 AE: NW $70,000 LT (4) GV SWANDERFUH raced tough first up to win at this level two starts back. The class drop and Macdonald returning to the bike can add up to a win here. (7) DREAM NATION was racing great until he broke stride last week. He should rebound here if he stays flat; using. (2) DISTANCE LEARNING has been right there at this level in two straight and he is another that merits a look for late multi-race tickets. (6) QUEBEC HANOVER moves from the worst post to the best one and he should last for a share this time. Race 10: Horses that have started for a purse of $9K or less in 1 of L3 AE: NW $700 L3 This looks like a good spot for (4) FOREFATHER, who only makes the race because he has no earnings facing better in his past three starts. He can wake up here and he should offer a good price; call to upset. (9) NAZARE’s 1:52 2/5 win in the slop in New Jersey two starts back stamps him as one of the ones to beat here and getting the leading driver won’t hurt. He is hard to leave off the late Pick 4. (10) MAJOR HILL went the long mile and still kicked in 27 4/5. He could upset if Roy gets him into the race from out there; using. (7) ACTOR HANOVER comes off a decent try from post 9 and he draws slightly better here. He is in the exotics mix. (1) YOU CAN HAVE ITALL goes for a barn that has been hot here recently. He should be part of the High-5 at a minimum.
