Top Pick Stats: 539 - 1632 / $2,818.40 (-$465.60) Best Bets: 83 - 153 / $296.60 (-$9.40) Spot Plays: 25 - 156 / $155.00 (-$157.00) Best Bet: MIDNIGHT MIRACLE (8TH) Spot Play: TUF COOPER (3RD) Early Pick 5: 2,7,8,9/1,2,5,8/3,7/1,5/2,5,10 = $28.80 Late Pick 5: 5,7/3,6/7/1,2/1,5,6,7,8 = $8 Early Pick 4: 1,5/2,5,10/5,7/3,6 = $4.80 Late Pick 4: 3,6/7/1,2/1,5,6,7,8 - $4 Race 1:  CLM HDCP $30,000 to $40,000 **Gtd. $100,000 Pick 5** Tough race to kick off the Pick 5. (2) MUSIC TO MY GEARS went a big mile to win when claimed and he should offer some value stepping up in class tonight. He is one of several that can win here. (9) LYONS KING took a new season’s mark beating a decent conditioned field after starting from the 10-hole and Macdonald sticks with him here. He should be a big threat right back. This is an easier spot for (8) DONTPOKETHEDRAGON who has raced over his head in the two starts since returning from Flamboro Downs. He will likely get send forward leaving the gate tonight and I could see him being a pocket rocket in the lane. (7) ST LADS BEAT IT jogged at this level beating many of these racing on four day’s rest and he is another in with a shot. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: NW $8,850 L5 or $14,650 L8 AE: OPT CLM $50,000 or starters for a purse of $15K or less last start (5) RIVERS raced well last week at one level higher than tonight’s class and a repeat of that mile can put him in the winner’s circle tonight. (1) FREE WILLY HANOVER dropped to this level and he showed his class, easily trotting past the leader in the lane. He is a threat right back here. (8) DONATOVER raced tough at this level two starts back when he was parked a long way and hung in for 2nd. He is worth using at a price in the early Pick 5. (2) DERF HANOVER fits better here and he is capable of taking these a long way on the front end. He is another that is worth a price look in a competitive field. [DRF BETS: Wager on tonight's Mohawk Park card at DRF Bets.com!] Race 3: CLM HDCP $19,000 to $24,000 (7) TUF COOPER raced well from the 10-hole in his first start following the Lester claim and he draws better now. He should get better positioning leaving the gate and that may be all he needs to notch a victory tonight; top call. (3) PROCRASTINATOR made a nice late move at this level last week and he is another that will likely get better positioning leaving the gate tonight; using. (2) LITTLE MANNY was claimed then scratched sick; small look. Race 4: NW $14,000 L5 or NW $30,500 L8 - Pick 4 (1) WHITE TIGER finally gets to drop into a class where he fits, and he gets Macdonald back. This is a field that he should handle; top call. (5) SERMON trotted a big mile on the rim to win his most recent race at the Meadowlands and he figures to be the main threat here. (7) ESPLOSIONE was well-driven to win last week and he is in the mix again, but I prefer to use him underneath here with this looking like a tougher version of the same class level. (10) LOCATELLI draws worst and loses J Mac, who took the choice over him. A small slice is likely his ceiling tonight. Race 5: CLM HDCP $14,000 to $18,000 This race should come down to the two claimed horses that finished 1-2 last week, (2) SNAP TEST and (5) THEDOGINTHEFIGHT. Nod to the former who shoots for the threepeat, but the latter is capable if he gets a better trip tonight. (10) ROYAL REGATTA is another claimed horse that is in good form and drawing widest could make him a value player here. He is another to consider for the early Pick 4 and Pick 5. (7) CHOREOGRAPHER made a decent late move to take a share behind the top two last week and he can land in the exotics again. Race 6: 5YO and younger winners of 2 (F&M3) but not more than 4 (F&M5) or $45,000 LT - Pick 5 (5) STORMONT DIVIDE was a good 2nd to a sharp returnee last week and he has a big shot to take his fourth win of the year tonight; top call. (7) WARRAWEE YES made a decent stretch move last week only to be overtaken by the choice and the winner of that race, he gets J Mac back tonight. He would be no surprise in this spot. (2) TAKEAPEEK AT ME has improving form but he will likely find one or both of the top two choices too tough in here. I’ll use him underneath. (3) TANGLEWILD ROAD will likely rally late to take another small share. Race 7: Horses that have started for a purse of $9,000 or less in 1 of L3 - Pick 4 (3) BUGSY MAGUIRE was a wire-to wire winner in good time at Flamboro last Wednesday and he gets the call to repeat here coming back quickly. (6) JACK PANIC was out a long way last time and he still took a check. He has upset potential in this spot. (1) CAPITANO ITALIANO was a good 2nd vs. similar last week and he is an obvious contender but a likely overlay, too. Your call. (10) ROSE RUN VORTEX is capable of closing for a share and he could add some value to the bottom of the Super. Race 8: 5YO and younger CLM HDCP $55,000 to $65,000 (7) MIDNIGHT MIRACLE jogged both times she raced in this claiming handicap and she is the one to beat here. (5) ALL GAS NO BRAKES was closest to the choice last week and he is logical to complete another Exacta. (6) MRMAYOR HANOVER is capable of better than he has shown recently and he could get a good trip racing near the front this time and stick around for a share. (2) BELLA CAVALLA was first up last week and that isn’t her trip. I think she sits and rallies for a share this time. [DRF HARNESS: Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter] Race 9: 5YO and younger winners of 2 (F&M3) but not more than 4 (F&M5) or $45,000 LT (1) CARTER MICHAEL DEO won easier than it looks on paper in his return race and he gets the call to repeat facing similar here. (2) DON’T TREAT ME BAD shoots for three straight in this class and he will likely get the jump on the choice. He will have to be caught. (8) CACTUSTOTHECLOUDS raced well in the Harvest series and he should be in the mix here, too, but I prefer to use him underneath. (3) HEY RALPHIE made a wide move on the final turn that he couldn’t sustain. He can take a share if he gets a better trip tonight; price look for the exotics. Race 10: CLM HDCP $10,000 to $12,000 (1) SPECTRUM SEELSTER moves off post 10 and he has a good chance to control this race from the start; top call. (5) J J TOMMY’s race two starts back puts him right there with these and he will likely get an aggressive steer from Macdonald tonight; using. (8) UF BETTORS HANOVER drops back to a class where his late speed should play well but he tends to be trip dependent. I’d need a price to play him on top but he is capable if the front end collapses late in the mile. (6) TRIDENT SEELSTER faces tougher here but he draws best. He can work out another good trip and land a share. (7) JAYDENS PLACE is no stranger to Mohawk Park. He is in with a chance coming off a win and getting Borth in the bike.
