Top Pick Stats: 271/856 (-$354.00) Best Bets: 32/78 (-$21.80); Spot Plays: 18/80 (-$56.90) Best Bet: ROMANTIC BEAUTY (Race 7) Spot Play: P C PETERBILT (Race 9) Early Pick-5: 6,7/3,4/4,5/2/1,9   $3.20 Late Pick-5: 2,7/4/2,5,8/6,9/2,3   $4.80 Race 1: FILLIES & MARES, 4 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 1 RACE (WINNERS FOR A PURSE OF $9,000 OR LESS 2 RACES) OR $9,000 LIFETIME. NO ALLOWANCES. (6) BRIGHT N SQUIRRELY battled back after gapping during hot fractions and only lost by a length. This race shouldn’t be nearly as chaotic. (7) EMCEE appears to have the most upside of this group and getting away from the rail can only be a benefit for this quirky filly. (8) OUR HEART is getting better with each start and is another who should benefit from facing an easier field. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: FILLIES & MARES, 5 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 3 RACES OR $67,000 (OS $90,000) LIFETIME. (3) COLD CREEK FUEGO looks ready to roll after what ended up being a perfect tightener in her return. Her sophomore campaign saw her make over six figures. (4) BARB LAHEY has been tricky to place in the past, but you can’t deny her current career-best form. She should get a good trip tonight. (2) NAUGHTY DELIGHT has shown flashes of excellence in the past, but I think she ends up being against it from a trip standpoint. We’ll see. Race 3: FILLIES & MARES, 4 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW $18,000 LIFETIME. (5) CONTROL YOUR BET held off all rivals in her return with a sharp score on the lead. A mile like that off the bench has to be respected. (4) BIKINI SEELSTER took a good chunk of support two starts ago in that same race, but was out of position after taking a shuffle. If she can avoid mid-race trouble, she can get a big piece. (1) LAINEY BLU took advantage of a race that fell apart and got up in the final strides. They clearly figured something out in that latest qualifier. Race 4: GOODTIMES: ELIMINATION - 3 YEAR OLD OPEN. STARTING FEE $2,000 CDN $1,525 USD. If I knew (2) STROBE LITE would be in the right spot, he would be a single. Unfortunately, that’s not how it works. It cost him last week at a short price, but his form since returning has been too sharp to ignore. (7) MAGIC PUNK just had his first charted action in almost four weeks, but that same routine certainly worked in the Dexter Cup. I’ll count on Svanstedt having him fully ready… next week. (8) LAND THE PLANE could surprise at a price if others are playing elimination games. He has sharp speed on both ends of the mile. Race 5: FILLIES & MARES, NW $2,500 LAST 4 STARTS OR NW $5,000 LAST 8 STARTS. (W/O $10,500 LAST 8 STARTS N/E). AE: OPT. CLM. $20,000. (1) SORCHA SEELSTER has not been close to being in the best form recently, though I’d argue back to back ten holes would put most horses in tough spots. It’s about time someone shook her up and went forward. Getting mired in the middle of the pack guarantees you nothing, even at this level. (9) MADRID A kept grinding after moving off cover and just got up in the final few strides. I was lucky enough to cash on her sharp form last week. I think she finds a way to work into the race despite this draw. (3) CANT SEE ME is a bigger question mark after being scratched lame in her latest, but we know what she is capable of when in form. Race 6: GOODTIMES: ELIMINATION - 3 YEAR OLD OPEN. STARTING FEE $2,000 CDN $1,525 USD. (2) EXACTLY flaunted his potential two starts ago and backed it up by lowering his career best and looking like a real threat in this division. (7) TOUCHEDBYANANGEL just goes about his business. Nothing flashy. He usually is forwardly placed and is put in a great spot. Last week, he was an upset winner after getting the jump on Strobe Lite. (9) CAPTAIN NATHAN is not to be slept on despite the miscue in his latest. His PA stint was primarily a success. He showed potential in those events. Curious to see where he slots in against these. Race 7: FILLIES & MARES, 5 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 2 RACES OR $30,000 (OS $43,250) LIFETIME. (4) ROMANTIC BEAUTY should thrive on the drop in class. It’s not like she was posting bad miles against the likes of A Clean Deal either. I fully expect her to be driven like the best filly in this field. (3) KISSEDBYASTRANGER rebounded nicely in her latest and finally broke her maiden. A repeat of that mile likely gets her a big piece. (7) HORSE WITH A PLAN had to move three wide around the final turn in London or else she was probably going to win. Her versatility makes her a threat to hit the ticket no matter where she gets away. Race 8: 4 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 1 RACE (WINNERS FOR A PURSE OF $9,000 OR LESS 2 RACES) OR $9,000 LIFETIME. NO ALLOWANCES. (5) AMICABLE looms large after three straight second place finishes. He is getting better with each start. I think this is the spot for him to break his maiden. (8) AMERICAN ROAD TRIP has come up short with forward trips in the past, but a speed try in his second start on Lasix could see him leave the rest staggering at the wire. (2) SUNSET LOO has the gate speed to get himself into a stalking position. It has netted him two strong finishes in as many races. Race 9: NW $2,500 LAST 4 STARTS OR NW $5,000 LAST 8 STARTS. AE: OPT. CLM. $20,000. AE: NW $12,500 OR N/A $1,300 P/S IN 2026 (MIN 5 STARTS). (6) P C PETERBILT was pressured in his return and logically faltered late, though he still held on for a piece. I expect him to be tighter tonight from the same post. (9) MISTER MAGIC earned another win last week after making multiple moves. Look for him to show gate speed again and try similar tactics. (4) P L SAPPHIRE gets away from the rail where she made a miscue in her latest. Tyler should have options on where he wants to get away. [DRF HARNESS: Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter] Race 10: FILLIES & MARES, NW $6,000 LAST 4 STARTS OR NW $12,000 LAST 8 STARTS (W/O $15,000 LAST 8 STARTS N/E) AE: OPT. CLM. $30,000. AE: N/A $2,200 P/S IN 2025-2026. (3) TWIN B EMPRESS looks for her sixth win of the season in just 11 starts. She has been excellent at Mohawk and that has continued with her jump to this level. (2) PERFECTLY CHIC gets a sharp class drop after being overmatched in the Forest City pace. That alone should give her a big chance. (6) SHOOT THE WHISKEY also drops in class and finds a nice middle ground between the Open and the Pop-Up where she had previously been. A return to form gives her a good chance. Race 11: FILLIES & MARES, NW $9,000 LAST 4 STARTS OR NW $18,000 LAST 8 STARTS. AE: OPT. CLM. $50,000. AE: N/A $3,710 P/S IN 2026. AE: NW OF 8 RACES LIFETIME. (4) VERITY BLUE CHIP gets my nod in a tricky finale. She has thrived at this level when given aggressive steers. (10) TELLS ON A ROLL couldn’t sustain her bid on the lead last week, but past efforts have shown that isn’t necessarily her game. Despite likely having to make multiple moves from the high draw, I’ll give her a big chance on the drop. (7) MADAM X just missed in her latest against Twin B Empress who I like in the race before. She could be a sneaky price chance if put in the right spot.
