(9) RUSTYS BETT disappointed as the favorite last time out. He worked out a pocket trip in his latest off an impressive qualifying score, but wasn’t able to get clearance before the eventual winner had momentum to the outside. He draws further outside but picks up Doug McNair, and he should have every opportunity to find the winner’s circle in this spot. (10) LANESIDE SPORTSTAR went to the lead from an outside draw and faded to 4th. He cut some quick panels early and tired late. He might have better success with a target to chase and is one I won’t leave off multi leg tickets. (6) ACEFORTYFOURAPOLLO is coming off a win at Flamboro Downs and will return to the big track here. He was 3rd here at Mohawk in January in a Pop Up event and can put forth a good effort with a trip. (8) ARAGONITE was 3rd at this level last time out and is one that will have every chance to land on the ticket. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: ONTARIO SIRED SPRING SERIES TROT: ONTARIO SIRED 3 YEAR OLD COLTS & GELDINGS, NW $30,000 IN 2024. (6) RAMIRO is coming off a runner-up qualifying effort to a rival he’ll take on in this contest. He was a solid 4th over the big track in his most recent pari-mutuel start, and has 2 wins in 3 tries on the year. He is one that might need to find more vs. the race favorite but has the benefit of clean lines to his advantage, and is one that might be a safer player in this spot. (4) P L SPENCER showed ability when he stayed to task during a freshman campaign that saw him race four times. He made miscues in 3 of those 4 starts, but was victorious the lone time he stayed to task. He comes off a solid qualifying try where he trotted well throughout, and did so without trotting hopples. He will be tough if he stays to task and will undoubtedly be the one to beat. (3) MODELO GOLD has been no worse than 3rd over his last three tries, and is one that should have a good shot to hit the ticket once again. (5) MEGA GENEROUS is coming off a 3rd place qualifying effort to our top two choices, and is one that should be able to secure a share in this spot. [DRF BETS: Wager on tonight's Mohawk Park card at DRF Bets.com!] Race 3: FILLIES & MARES, NW $30,250 LAST 5 STARTS. AE: OS 4 YEAR OLD MARES. (2) GLENBORO hasn’t been able to get the mares who are simply better than her right now. She’s been able to pick up good shares competing against them and will enter this contest as the one to beat off the class drop.  (6) SORCHA SEELSTER didn’t have much of a chance when she got away last in a group of six, and was unable to spring her way to a position in that contest. She will need to get away closer in this field but is likely going to be racing for a share here. (5) WESTERN WISH put forth a clunker in her latest but has shown she’s better than what she showed in that effort. She draws well and could be sitting close here. (7) LYONS BETTORDAY was bet down as the favorite in her latest and put forth a winning effort in the process. She steps up in class and is likely just good for a share in this spot. Race 4: FILLIES & MARES, NW $2,500 LAST 5 STARTS (W/O $12,500 LAST 10 STARTS N/E). (10) CHEESE PARTY was shuffled along the rail in her latest but angled out late in the stretch to be 3rd in that contest. She might have her hands full from pp10 but is one I’ll pick as an upset winner and hope for some value. (7) CHIKABELL needed every bit of that perfect trip in her latest victory. She will now race for the barn of Amanda Riley and is one that always has a chance at this level. (2) ONE LAST BET was aggressively handled and just got picked off by the one above off a perfect trip. She deserved better and is one that is a main player in this race. She will pick up the services of Phil Hudon this evening. (5) VOOM VOOM rounded out the superfecta in her latest and is one that will have every chance to grab a share as well. Race 5: FILLIES & MARES, 5 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 1 RACE (WINNERS FOR A PURSE OF $9,000 OR LESS 2 RACES) OR $8,500 LIFETIME. (2) NOVA BLU is coming off a runner-up qualifying effort to a very talented rival. He is coming off a freshman campaign where he was winless in six tries, but was chasing stakes-caliber company throughout. He should have every opportunity to get the job done at first asking against this group. (3) MAGICAL BET took some air in his 2nd pari-mutuel start and dropped more time in the process. He should be even tighter and is one that should be stronger coming in and will be given every chance. (10) MISTY COVE didn’t fire in his career debut but that was over a track that wasn’t the greatest, including weather conditions that were poor. He draws the far outside but I think he’s better than what he showed in his first start. (7) ERINWOOD BIG MACK has failed to hit the board in his first two tries but is one that showed improvement in start number two. He can take another step forward here. Race 6:  ONTARIO SIRED SPRING SERIES TROT: ONTARIO SIRED 3 YEAR OLD COLTS & GELDINGS, NW $30,000 IN 2024. (2) MANFORCE will make his sophomore debut after going winless in seven tries as a rookie. He is coming off a lone qualifier in preparation for this contest and will have every opportunity to break his maiden here. (8) GREEN MONSTER wasn’t a factor in his latest in what was his first pari-mutuel start since 1/3. He was racing well prior to his break and is one that can take a big step forward here with a tightener under his belt. (6) FAST SNAP showed some good late trot to be 2nd vs. a dominant rival in his career debut. He can take a step forward here in the opening leg of the Ontario Sired Spring Series and is one that is capable of a good showing here. (4) FLANAGAN SUNSHINE comes off a 4th place qualifying effort and showed some good late trot. He will pick up the services of James MacDonald in this contest and is one that can grab a piece with a trip. Race 7: FILLIES & MARES, 4 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER NW $15,000 (ON SIRED $27,000) LIFETIME. (4) SPOILED BEAUTY will make her 3YO debut off a pair of winning qualifiers. She had one win in eight starts as a rookie, but took on some of the best freshman fillies in the sport in a lot of those contests. This should be a group more to her liking and she should be able to kick off her sophomore campaign with a victory in this spot. (3) PRESCELTO was a good runner up finisher in her latest effort. She is winless in 9 tries this year but is one that seems to be trending in the right direction. (5) DG HOLI SHAMOLIE never had a chance in her latest when she got away at the back from an outside draw. This mare hasn’t shown much early speed in her career and is one that should be heard from late, and can grab a share. (9) KALICO SEELSTER showed some good late wheels in her qualifier in a 4th place effort. She draws outside and hooks a tough bunch but is one to monitor in the coming starts. Race 8: ONTARIO SIRED SPRING SERIES PACE: ONTARIO SIRED 3 YEAR OLD COLTS & GELDINGS, NW $30,000 IN 2024. (7) TIME PASSER is coming off a runner-up qualifying effort to a cold who was stakes tested a year ago. He was winless in his rookie season and will look to find his way into the winner’s circle in his sophomore season, and was James MacDonald’s choice over a few others. (2) ASIAGO SEELSTER had to come first up last time out and finished 3rd, disappointing as the race favorite. He was very strong in his career debut and that effort stacks him up nicely in here; he can bounce back. (5) MOOD CONTROL is the sharpest rival in this contest after winning back-to-back starts. He has never missed the board since adding Lasix is one that merits respect in here. (6) MOVING ON OVER disappointed as the race favorite after jumping it off in the pocket. He will need to mind his manners in this spot and is one that can get a big piece with the right trip. Race 9: 5 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 2 (FM 3) RACES OR $20,000 (OS $26,250) LIFETIME. (2) CABALLERO will make his 4YO debut off not one, but four qualifiers in 2025 alone. He is one that possesses a lot of talent but needs to stay to task in order to put forth a good effort. James MacDonald gives this one the vote of confidence over a few others in here and we’re hoping he can mind his manners, en route to a trip to the winner’s circle. (3) WEARING THE GREEN went gate to wire in his latest and cruised to victory in his first start for new trainer, Gregg McNair. He should be brimming with confidence and is one that will have every chance to double up in this spot. (7) FADEAWAY HANOVER looked impressive in his first two starts of 2025 but didn’t fire last time out. He is capable of a bounce-back effort here and likely won’t go off as the chalk. (1) CHICAGO HALL is taking a step up here after a dominant, maiden-breaking score and can continue to progress here. [DRF HARNESS: Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter] Race 10: FILLIES & MARES, CLAIMING $20,000 FOR NW $60,000 (OS $75,000) LIFETIME. (1) SUPERIOR DELIGHT is coming off three-straight victories and has looked better in every start; she’s clearly the one to beat here. (2) ALLSMOKEANDMIRRORS came a tough, first over journey in her latest and lost out to a horse who was sharp in cutting the mile. She should be tight coming into tonight’s effort. (5) MY LAST KISS is coming off a gate-to-wire score in her latest. She is typically better when chasing horses but has been sharp in winning her last two. (3) JOB HUNTER should appreciate this class much more and can hit the ticket. Race 11: CLAIMING $20,000 FOR NW $72,000 LIFETIME. ALLOWANCES FOR AGE. (1) GIGITYGIGITYGIGTY was aggressively handled in his latest and tired to be 4th. He’s a horse that will benefit from having a target to chase and I’m hoping for that kind of trip here. (2) ON TIME DELIVERY has been sharp at this level and draws inside; he’ll be a threat. (3) TARQUINIS HANOVER missed out narrowly in his latest and is one that has been racing well. (8) SPORTY BEE draws outside but can hit the ticket here. (10) JIMMY WHISPERS has hit the board in 4 straight tries and can do the same here despite an outside draw.
