Will Rogers Downs in Claremore, Okla., and Fonner Park in Grand Island, Neb., are the lone tracks scheduled to race Tuesday in the United States amid the coronavirus pandemic, and both have strong cards. Will Rogers has two allowances plus an overnight handicap led by multiple stakes winner Inagoodway and Fonner puts on the $20,000 Orphan Kist and $15,000 Tondi. Inagoodway is returning to Will Rogers, where she is 5 for 10, for a $17,050 overnight handicap for fillies and mares at a mile. She is part of a six-horse field that includes Illinois shipper Meeka. Inagoodway has won two runnings of the More Than Even Stakes at Will Rogers. She is stretching back out to two turns Tuesday in what will be her second start since November. Paulina Ramirez has the mount for trainer Karl Broberg. Inagoodway figures to be prominent, and faces a number of other speed horses Tuesday. The scenario could benefit Fool’s Paradise, who might get a stalking kind of trip for trainer Robertino Diodoro, a new stable at the meet who had gone 5 for 7 with his local starters heading into Monday. Meeka, like Inagoodway, is stretching out around two turns off a sprint start last out at Hawthorne. She won the 6 1/2-furlong allowance with a Beyer Speed Figure of 85, which is the best last-race number in the overnight handicap Tuesday. Meeka will tote top weight of 124 pounds. Rafael Hernandez has the mount for trainer Steve Manley. Love At Night is looking to win the Orphan Kist, a six-furlong race for fillies and mares bred in Nebraska, for the second year in a row Tuesday at Fonner Park. If she prevails, she will equal the accomplishment of her dam, Lovesablumin, who won two runnings of the Orphan Kist. The race Tuesday drew a field of nine. It goes as the eighth on a 10-race program. Love At Night is moving back to the statebred ranks after a win in the Bold Accent on Feb. 29 at Fonner. The start was her first since June and it was her sixth win from her last seven starts. Overall, she is 12 for 19, with a 9-for-11 record at Fonner. Chris Fackler has the mount on the 7-year-old mare for trainer Terrell Hemmer. The Tondi is for 3-year-olds and up at six furlongs and some of the nine horses in the field could advance to the $75,000 Bosselman Pump and Pantry/Gus Fonner Stakes. Holding Fast and Awesome Emmit, who finished a respective first and second in a Fonner allowance at this distance March 7, figure to get good support. Holding Fast won by 1 3/4 lengths over Awesome Emmit, who was making his first start since October. Nathan Haar rides Awesome Emmit for trainer Larry Donlin, while Armando Martinez will be aboard Holding Fast for trainer Kelli Martinez. For the Hustle owns the field’s best last-race Beyer Speed Figure, a 74, for a runner-up finish in a first-level allowance March 8 at Fonner. Scott Bethke has the mount for trainer Isai Gonzalez. Ourbestfriend D L invades from Oaklawn Park.
