HALLANDALE BEACH, Fla. – Racing resumes Wednesday with a 10-race program highlighted by a pair of allowance races, the first for Florida-breds going a mile on the main track, the second, the afternoon’s feature event, for older fillies and mares carded at 1 1/16 miles over the Tapeta. Post time for all weekday cards, for the present time, is 12:30 p.m. Only six statebreds are slated to vie for a $54,000 purse in the sixth race, with Uno Tiger and Tiger among the leading contenders in a field that also includes Ampersand, Man of Vision, Sir Ollie, and Nacho Papa. Uno Tiger steps up off a career-best effort, a 4 3/4-length conditioned claiming victory, also at a mile, on Oct 28. Tiger has finished second and third in his last two starts against similarly conditioned company as he’ll encounter Wednesday, with both starts coming since the Arindel homebred was transferred to trainer Carlos David’s barn earlier this year. The ninth race brings together a wide-open group of 10 older fillies and mares who will compete for a $61,000 purse. Only three horses in the field – Lookinlikeaqueen, Grand Ave Girl, and Designated Kitten –have won over synthetic surfaces. :: DRF Bets players get free Daily Racing Form Past Performances and up to 5% weekly cashback.
