Touchuponastar improved his Delta Downs record to 5 for 5 on Saturday night with a dominant performance in the $150,000 Louisiana Premier Night Championship. He won by 6 3/4 lengths and for the effort earned a Beyer Speed Figure of 101.  The race was one of six divisional stakes on the card. All of the races were restricted to horses bred in Louisiana. He was a $15,000 yearling purchase at auction in Texas. The son of Star Guitar is now 5 and the horse’s body of work has been a blessing, according to his owner, retired NFL quarterback Jake Delhomme.  “I don’t take it for a granted,” Delhomme said. “I’m very active at the Louisiana and Texas sales, buying strictly Louisiana-breds. I’ve bought some good ones and some that have just been so-so. I was lucky to buy him. He’s been a pleasure.” :: Bet the races with a $200 First Deposit Match + FREE All Access PPs!
