Racing resumes Wednesday with a nine-race card topped by a $97,000 optional-claiming and allowance dash for fillies and mares going 6 1/2 furlongs over the main track. It drew a field of six, led by Done Enough, a wire-to-wire winner of a softer allowance race going seven furlongs here four weeks earlier. Done Enough, who earned a lifetime-best 81 Beyer Speed Figure for her second career victory on Feb. 16, may not see the front end as readily in Wednesday’s main event against a field that also includes Streaming Now, Miss Enchanted, and the newly blinkered Trumpets. Streaming Now returns to the main track after finishing an even fourth under similar conditions while making her local debut over the Tapeta course Feb. 6. Streaming Now has won 2 of 9 career starts, with both her victories coming in gate-to-wire fashion. :: Get Gulfstream Park Clocker Reports from Mike Welsch and the Clocker Team. Available every race day. Miss Enchanted has been idle since setting a contested and very rapid pace before fading to finish fourth as the 3-2 favorite against a solid group of rivals on Nov. 27 at Churchill Downs. She could find herself sitting a nice stalking trip from her outside post under jockey Dylan Davis. Trumpets will try the main track and stretch out to 6 1/2 furlongs for the first time. She figures to show plenty of early foot coming off a bullet gate drill here, with blinkers, on Feb. 22. Vincey Girl and Sing a Little Song could prove the major beneficiaries of a hotly contested pace. Both fillies are getting some class relief after facing stakes competition in their most recent tries. :: Want to learn more about handicapping and wagering?
