While California racetracks continue to operate without ontrack spectators for the foreseeable future, some mini-satellites in Southern California have reopened for customers. The network was closed in March because of the coronavirus outbreak. They are reopening after government officials in California recently began allowing businesses such as restaurants to resume service.Seven mini-satellites are open – The Derby Room in Norco, O.C. Tavern in San Clemente, Sammy’s in Lake Forest, Tilted Kilt restaurant in Thousand Oaks, Santa Clarita Lanes in Santa Clarita, C.J.’s restaurant in the Lake Elsinore casino, and 58 Flat in Bonita. Santa Clarita rejoined the network on Thursday.Executives with Southern California Offtrack Wagering, which oversees the program, said Wednesday that additional sites in the network of 23 locations are likely to reopen soon, pending government approval.
