HALLANDALE BEACH, Fla. – Trainer David Fawkes said that Sheer Drama continues to progress toward her 2016 debut, which could either come locally or in the Grade 1 Madison Stakes on April 9 at Keeneland. Sheer Drama, a two-time Grade 1 winner in 2015, worked six furlongs in 1:13.53 here Saturday. She has been idle since her fourth-place finish in the Breeders’ Cup Distaff. “Right now, she’s still a couple of works away from being ready to run,” said Fawkes. “At that point, we’ll start seriously considering our options.” ◗ Tickets are still available for the third annual Permanently Disabled Jockeys Fund dinner and auction, to be held Monday at Frank and Dino’s Restaurant in Deerfield Beach, Fla. The event is open to the public. Tickets are $200 apiece and can be purchased by calling (954) 427-4909.
