Root also saddled favored Shamundi ($3.80), who rallied from midpack to capture the $23,350 Bill Wineberg for 2-year-olds by 1 3/4 lengths over Tomcat Jake, covering six furlongs in 1:11.60. Kate Winsalot ($13.20) sat behind favored Carabelle Harbor before pulling clear in the stretch in the six-furlong $24,950 Janet Wineberg for 2-year-old fillies, winning in 1:12.10. Ricky Ricky ($6.40) caught pacesetting Es Baqavenue Titan to win the 1 1/16-mile $13,300 Oregon His, and Tillman’s Image rallied for a $24.80 neck victory over Taylor Jones in the six-furlong $13,600 Lethal Grande Sprint Championship.
