Preakness Stakes winner Seize the Grey will stand at Gainesway in Kentucky upon his eventual retirement from racing.  MyRacehorse, the micro-share ownership experience group that campaigns the Arrogate colt, reported the deal to partners in Seize the Grey in an e-mail on Wednesday. Gainesway has yet to comment.  Seize the Grey was expected to be a red-hot commodity as a stallion prospect, as a surviving Grade 1-winning son of the late champion Arrogate, who has had incredible success from the three crops he produced before his death at age 7. Arrogate's champion son Arcangelo, winner of the 2023 Belmont and Travers Stakes, debuted at stud this year at Lane's End. In addition to classic winners Arcangelo and Seize the Grey, Arrogate has one other Grade 1-winning son to date, that being Cave Rock, who died last year of complications from colic. :: Subscribe to the DRF Post Time Email Newsletter: Get the news you need to play today's races!  Arrogate is the sire of 24 stakes winners through July 9, led by Arcangelo, Seize the Grey, and 2022 Kentucky Oaks winner Secret Oath. He is also the sire of Grade 1 winners And Tell Me Nolies, Cave Rock, and Fun to Dream, plus graded stakes winners Abeliefinthislivin, Affirmative Lady, Dragoon Guard, Liberal Arts, Linda’s Gift, Mr Fisk, Petulante, and Tiny Temper.  Seize the Grey has won 4 of 11 career starts and earned more than $1.8 million. In addition to his Preakness win for trainer Wayne Lukas, the colt won this year's Grade 2 Pat Day Mile and was third in the Grade 3 Jeff Ruby. He was third in the Skidmore last year as a juvenile. Most recently, Seize the Grey was seventh in the Belmont Stakes at Saratoga. He is now back in training at that track in preparation for a summer campaign that could begin in the Grade 1 Haskell on July 20. :: Want to learn more about handicapping and wagering?
