Rowdy Yates won the fourth stakes race of his career Sunday when he darted home by 3 1/2 lengths over Competitive Idea in the $100,000 Riley Allison Derby at Sunland Park. The race was the first of two local preps for the Grade 3, $700,000 Sunland Derby. The card Sunday also featured two other stakes, with Dynasty of Her Own winning the $65,000 Borderplex and Rig Time taking the $100,000 Johnie L. Jamison.  Rowdy Yates ($3) settled off Competitive Idea and Arizona Jeremy in the one-mile Riley Allison, and those two dueled through an opening quarter in 23.76 seconds and a half-mile in 46.82. Competitive Idea took over through six furlongs in 1:11.46 while Rowdy Yates was angled out into the stretch by jockey Luis Contreras. In the drive, Rowdy Yates ran down the leader and cruised home from there, covering the distance on a fast track in 1:37.95. It was 4 1/4 lengths back from runner-up Competitive Idea to Arizona Jeremy in third. The winner is by Morning Line. He is now 5 for 8 with earnings of $273,418 for L and N Racing. Dynasty of Her Own ($9.80) won her stakes debut in the Borderplex for 3-year-old fillies, a 6 1/2-furlong race that served as the first local prep for the $200,000 Sunland Park Oaks. She is now 2 for 2 after winning her debut in a maiden special weight at Golden Gate. Dynasty of her Own rallied for a 5 3/4-length win over Topless, while covering the distance in 1:17.39. Francisco Arrieta was aboard Dynasty of Her Own, a daughter of Shanghai Bobby, for Tommy Town Thoroughbreds and trainer Jonathan Wong. Rig Time ($5.80) rolled by four lengths in the Jamison to give Contreras the first of his two stakes wins on the card. Rig Time raced with the pace through fractions of 22.79 seconds for the opening quarter and 45.11 for the half-mile before going on to cover the 6 1/2 furlongs for New Mexico-breds in 1:15.57. Weston Martin trains the son of Right Rigger for Larry Teague and Harry Rand.
