Red’s Round Table ran her winning streak to three and improved her record to 5 for 6 lifetime, with a 4 3/4-length victory in Saturday’s $50,750 Marshua Stakes for 3-year-old fillies at Laurel Park. Red’s Round Table, ridden by Sheldon Russell and trained by Timothy Keefe, rated just off Delta Donya from the start of the six-furlong race and made her move for the lead on the far turn. She kicked clear and then steadily pulled away in the stretch. Heather, who lagged back as the last of five early, made a move inside her rivals entering the stretch and finished second, 1 1/4 lengths in front of Sweet Susan. Red’s Round Table, making her first start of 2011, covered the distance on a sealed sloppy track in 1:13.40. She returned $4.40 as the favorite. A daughter of Cuvee out of Carol D, Red’s Round Table has banked $129,600 in her career for owner Arnold A. Heft. The win was her third straight stakes victory, following scores in overnight stakes at Delaware Park and Aqueduct to end her juvenile campaign.
