Gerardo Corrales has picked up the mount on Raise Cain for Saturday's Kentucky Derby, trainer Ben Colebrook confirmed to Churchill Downs officials on Monday morning. Raise Cain had been left without a rider last week, when Javier Castellano, who had originally been booked to ride, elected to take the mount on Mage. Corrales, who will be riding in his first Kentucky Derby, was aboard Raise Cain for the colt's final pre-race breeze last Thursday at Colebrook's Keeneland base. The Grade 3 Gotham Stakes winner, most recently fifth in the Grade 1 Blue Grass Stakes, was scheduled to van to Churchill Downs from Keeneland after training on Monday morning. Entries were being taken for the Kentucky Derby on Monday morning, and post positions were to be drawn later this afternoon at Churchill Downs. :: Want to learn more about handicapping and wagering?
