SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – Prank, the ultra-impressive debut-winning 2-year-old filly, will likely be sidelined for the remainder of the year after suffering a hairline fracture of her left front pastern, trainer Todd Pletcher said Saturday. Prank underwent surgery Friday in Saratoga to repair the injury, getting two screws placed into her left foreleg. “The surgery went very smoothly, she should come back 100 percent,” Pletcher said. Prank, a daughter of Into Mischief and a half-sister to 2021 Belmont Stakes winner Mo Donegal, won her debut July 31 by 9 3/4 lengths. She ran 5 1/2 furlongs in 1:03.94 and earned a 91 Beyer Speed Figure. :: DRF's Saratoga headquarters – Stakes schedule, previews, recaps, past performances, and more Prank, owned by StarLadies Racing, LNJ Foxwoods, and Gainesway Stable, was being considered for the Grade 1 Spinaway here Sept. 4.
