Undefeated Hungarian sprint sensation Overdose heads the nominations for the five-furlong, Group 2 Temple Stakes at Haydock Park in England on May 23. An undefeated son of Starborough, Overdose was the easy eight-length winner of his 4-year-old seasonal debut at Kincsem Park in Budapest on April 19. He is, however, suffering from sore feet after having his shoes removed on Saturday night. "We are hoping to get Overdose ready for the Temple Stakes but he has suffered a problem with his shoes, which is causing him pain," said trainer Sandor Ribarszki. "We have taken off his shoes and put some medication on his hooves. "He was working very well last week until we noticed that he was in pain on Saturday night. He will return to work on Thursday, and hopefully there will be no more pus in his foot. If not, we will have to make other plans for him, but I am hopeful of taking him to Haydock at the moment." Ribarszki noted that Overdose, 12 for 12 lifetime with victories in Hungary, Slovakia, Austria, Germany, and Italy, had suffered from the same problem just days before his victory in the Hungaria Nagydij last month. Among the horses Overdose is slated to meet at Haydock Park are Equiano, winner of a Group 1 at Royal Ascot; Borderlescott, winner of the Group 1 Nunthorpe Stakes; and Amour Propre, whose victory in Saturday's Group 3 Palace House Stakes at Newmarket was his fourth in a row.
