Obrigado's win in the at Hollywood Park on Saturday revealed little not already known about the 6-year-old gelding. He loves long turf races and was the class of a five-horse field that featured four ex-claimers. Not surprisingly, Obrigado had things his way. Ridden by Joel Rosario, Obrigado rallied from last to win the Grade 3 Round Table by 3o1/4 lengths over Porfido. Obrigado ($4.20) ran 1 3/4 miles on turf in 2:54.49. Along the way, Obrigado lost a shoe, perhaps about a mile into the race when he was briefly steadied behind Porfido, according to trainer Neil Drysdale. The incident had no effect on the outcome. Obrigado rallied three wide on the final turn and outdueled Porfido in early stretch. Zappa finished third, 2 3/4 lengths behind Porfido. Plug Me In, who won $32,000 and $55,000 claiming races in March and April, set a decent pace of 24.80 and 48.17 seconds. Plug Me In ran six furlongs in 1:12.77 and a mile in 1:38.15, leading Obrigado by 5 1/2 lengths at that point. The margin did not concern Drysdale. "I liked that he was way out the back when I saw 1:12," Drysdale said. Owned by Gary Seidler and Peter Vegso, Obrigado has won 6 of 31 starts and $666,504. The Round Table was Obrigado's first stakes win since the Grade 2 San Luis Obispo Handicap at Santa Anita in February 2007. Earlier this year, Obrigado was third in the Grade 2 San Juan Capistrano Handicap over 1o3/4 miles on turf at Santa Anita
