Naughty Rascal won his turf debut in the $95,000 Armed Forces on Saturday at Gulfstream Park, overtaking pacesetter Tank for a length victory. It was another neck back in third to Scarecrow. The Armed Forces, which was for 2-year-olds at a mile, shared a card with the $95,000 Showing Up won by Silent Heart ($10). The Showing Up was for 3-year-olds. Naughty Rascal ($11) sat just off Tank as he set fractions of 24.48 seconds for the opening quarter, 49.48 for the half-mile and 1:12.35 for six furlongs. Naughty Rascal pushed past the leader in the stretch and went on to cover the mile on a turf course rated “good” in 1:35.04. Miguel Vasquez was aboard for trainer Gerald Bennett. Naughty Rascal won the second stakes race of his career, having accounted for the Proud Man earlier this year at Gulfstream. The son of Rogueish races for Mr Pug LLC and JPG2 LLC. It was another length back in third to Adios Cole.  The winner covered 1 1/16 miles on “good” turf in a posted time of 1:39.59.  Edgar Perez was aboard for trainer Brian Lynch.
