Breeders’ Cup Filly and Mare Turf winner Moira, who sold for $4.3 million to rank among the top prices of the Fasig-Tipton November sale, could continue racing before beginning her broodmare career in Australia. Moira was purchased via an online bid using the moniker “Bayles.” That has been revealed to be the Australia-based Yulong Investments. The breeding season in Australia, in the Southern Hemisphere, runs from September through December, meaning the window to ship Moira and get her in foal this season is rapidly closing. Yulong’s general manager Vin Cox told Canadian Thoroughbred that “we haven’t made any real plans with her just at this stage … likely short to medium term we will race her on, potentially in Australia.” :: Want to learn more about handicapping and wagering?
