MEET STATS: 209-64-42-23 / $343.40 (-$74.60) BEST BETS: 14-5-2-0 / $25.80 (-$2.20) SPOT PLAYS: 15-2-5-2 / $7.20 (-$14.80) BEST BET: BUZZ (1st) SPOT PLAY: SHELTER IN PACE (7th) Race 1: Meadowlands Amateur Drivers Club Trot - Pick 5 (10) BUZZ comes off a break from the rail at Yonkers and he recovered nicely to finish fourth. He now returns to The Meadowlands were he has beaten much better than he faces tonight. He deserves to be the 3-5 chalk even from post 10. (4) VEGAS TICKET took plenty of air and had some late trot last time. Will Yogi change tactics tonight and show early speed? (7) ALLINDOTIME was racing well before the scratched-sick line. He drops right back in the box a week later and should be good to go. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: Trackmaster 68.5 (NW L2/2L4/3YO 69/69.55/70.15) or less (5) MILADY DENVER A rolled down the road at Monticello and while that isn’t usually a path to success here, this gal has multiple wins over this surface the last few years. In a dull field of bottom-level Trackmaster horses she has as good a chance as any. (7) SHAKE IT TWICE was able to win in 1:51 4/5 here this year and none of these have sniffed that kind of time in years if ever. Can she wake up? (1) THANEEYA was used up early and paid the price last weekend. She can sprint out from the inside this time and stay close without working too hard. [DRF BETS: Wager on tonight's Meadowlands card at DRF Bets.com!] Race 3: Trackmaster 74.5 (NW L2/2L4 75/75.5) or less - Pick 4 (5) GRIZZ WYLLIE made two moves and took first over pressure from the 4-5 favorite last week, so the effort was actually very good. Facing perhaps an even softer field here, let’s roll the dice. (4) LIGHTNINGFAST moved first-over and paid the price last Thursday. A smoother trip would make him formidable. (10) LANDIA certainly had good late trot once clear in mid-stretch a week ago. Post 10 presents some problems as she may be closing from last. Race 4: Trackmaster 68.5 (NW L2/2L4 69/69.50) or less (1) HOMESTRETCH WES gets a key post switch to the inside where he can push away to stay close without having to work too hard. Seven-year-old has seen plenty of success here. (6) VEL LARRY rallied nicely from far back last time and figures to be the chalk tonight. (8) MARKSMAN HANOVER should be gunning hard off the gate for position but he’s too win-shy to play in the top spot. Race 5: Meadowlands Amateur Drivers Club Trot - $4,038 Pick 6 Carryover (6) SNOWMAN HANOVER gets a new driver this week and while his numbers at 22 wins in 214 starts the last three years don’t jump off the page, they are certainly more appealing than his last pilot at one win in his previous 197 starts. There could be value in a horse who has previously shown he can go with these. (1) SIR JESSE jumped it off in his first start for new connections. He might be worth one more shot.  (10) LUCKY SEVENS was a MADC winner two starts back; post hurts. Race 6: Trackmaster 68.5 (NW L2/2L4/3YO 69/69.55/70.15) or less (9) SHORTYS GIRL waited along the cones, angled when clear late in the mile and finished very willingly last time at Freehold. Notice the trainer change here and the 1:53 2/5 win over this surface last year. Can Johnson turn around this mare with a 1 for 43 record the last two years? (2) SANDY COURT made two moves and was used hard trying for the lead during the second attempt last Thursday. Certainly a somewhat smoother trip will be in the cards this week. (7) LADYZAR was used harder than needed early in the mile and paid the price late upon arrival a week ago. She’s another that could use an easier trip. (1) QUEEN SUN RYSER rallied nicely last time but don’t accept a short price because she has one good line. Race 7: Trackmaster 71.5 (NW L2/2L4/3YO-2L7 72/72.50/73.52) or less - Pick 4 (2) SHELTER IN PACE showed a bit of life last time in her second start back from vacation. She adds Lasix and drops tonight. All systems figure to be on go. (4) GOING AWAY has raced well in all recent starts where she drew in a good post. She also drops; very playable. (7) BROOKLYN MOONSHINE was game in an upset victory last out. Race 8: Non-winners 2 (NW L2 3) races life/TM 73 or less/Maidens & 2YO draw inside (6) SASSY ZAZA was a somewhat willing second behind a 1-9 winner in last and a repeat performance should make her the horse to beat now. That said, she is only two for 33 lifetime in the win column. (7) BULLVILLES WINNER broke in last on the half and had the eight hole before that. Perhaps the big track moves her up. (8) MODIGLIANI S looks like a fit in terms of pure speed potential on paper if he can mind his manners. [DRF HARNESS: Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter] Race 9: Non-winners 2 (NW L2 3) races life/Maidens & 2YO draw inside (7) READY TO SHINE didn’t do much in his first start since May but there is definitely talent here. Let’s roll the dice on a big wake-up in start two at good odds. (8) CAPTAIN BAZINGA has displayed the ability to pop off a big mile and adding Lasix could certainly help. (6) WHO SAID I CAN’T has early speed and is sharp. (3) MIKI RAY was facing good competition at Hoosier but still only owns one career win. (9) LAZARUS STAR and (10) JK TOGETHER AGAIN are both in form and capable if they can somehow work out a trip from tough posts. Race 10: Trackmaster 68.5 (NW L2/2L4 69/69.50) or less (10) SARGEANT SONNY got away slowly and chased slow fractions; a recipe for failure. He was done no favors by drawing post 10 but you have to admit his best mile puts him in the win conversation. He’s another flyer for me on top in a mostly formless field. (5) CHASING MONEY got caught in a 1:54 2/5 mile last time while many of the others chased in a 1:56 4/5 final time. Moving inside tonight and facing easier could help perk him up. (2) GET ALONG wasn’t awful in his first start over the track; improves?
