MEET STATS: 56-17-8-5 / $77.40 (-$34.60) BEST BETS: 4-3-1-0 / $13.60 (+$5.60) SPOT PLAYS: 4-1-1-0 / $4.20 (-$3.80) BEST BET: BULLY BOY HILL (5th) SPOT PLAY: LANDING STRIP (14th) Race 1: $7,500 Claiming - Pick 5 (5) SGT PAPA DADDY was rolling along before new connections decided to double his claiming price. He’s back in for the $7,500 tag and should prove tough to beat. (4) HENRY THE DRAGON was doing good work when last here and he should set up nicely from this post. (9) MISTER GODRO is clearly the sharpest horse in the field but the post presents some issues. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: Trackmaster 74 (NW L2/2L4 74.5/75.05) or less - Survivor 7 (5) CENTURY FURY was up in class last time and couldn’t do much. Tonight he drops back into the TM74 where he was second two starts back. In a field loaded with potential early speed, things could play right into his hands. (7) JK LUCKY CHARMS came up a bit short for a barn that came out firing on all cylinders last weekend; big threat. (10) VANDALISM overcame the 10-hole with early speed and a big effort three starts back; threat again. [DRF BETS: Wager on tonight's Meadowlands card at DRF Bets.com!] Race 3: Non-winners $3,000 (NW L2 $3,300) in last 4/TM 77 (NW L2/2L4 77.5/78) or less/Opt. $12,500 Clm. (3) SMART AS HILL is one of many in the field dropping in company but more importantly he’s getting post relief. His recent efforts have been decent from the back of the pack. (2) ROSE RUN YANKEE raced well considering the layoff last time; threat with improvement. (10) DRIBBLING BI hasn’t been in this class for a handful of starts but was able to wire a field when he was; post hurts. (7) CHAKE comes off a good effort but is far from reliable. Race 4: Trackmaster 71 (NW L2/2L4 71.5/72) or less - Pick 8 This is about as cheap a field as you’ll find at The Meadowlands and I won’t be wagering with any confidence. (2) DYNOMITES PEAK hasn’t won a race since November 2022 but has shown some faint signs of life lately. (5) A B COLLINS hails from a barn that is capable of getting them right when in the proper class and it doesn’t get softer than this spot. (1) XMARKXTHESPOT double-drops in class off an awful performance. Here’s another one who last scored in 2022; wakes up tonight? Race 5: Non-winners $5,000 in last 4/TM 80 (NW L2/2L4 80.5/81) or less (4) BULLY BOY HILL was stacked up fifth-over after starting from post 10 last time. Five-year-old makes his second start after a month off while getting post and class relief; logical player. (3) KASHA V exits the same race as the top pick and finished more than three lengths ahead of him; big threat. (8) CONRAD DIPOGGIO IT was looking like a clear winner two starts back when he broke and last Friday he ran into stretch traffic. Race 6: Non-winners $7,500 in last 4/TM 83.5 (NW L2/2L4 84/84.5) or less - $50K GTD Pick 4 (4) LISA LANE gets meaningful class relief here and I feel pretty certain you’ll get fair value with Ryder in the bike; taking a shot. (8) KICKUPYAHEELS N was fifth on the rim and stacked up five wide into the stretch before finishing steadily in her first start since October. If I could get anything close to double-digit odds I’d be on board. (6) IDEALINFUN is the other horse taking the class drop. She hasn’t started in over a month but hails from a barn that is sending out winners in droves. (2) SANTAFE’S APPETITE did her best but couldn’t get there last time; threat from behind. Race 7: Non-winners $7,500 in last 4/TM 83.5 (NW L2/2L4 84/84.5) or less Lots of questions to answer by those entered in this race and (8) WATCH ME NOW N is in the group looking for answers. She’s been on the sidelines for quite some time but has the early speed and raw speed to beat this field if ready to fire. (7) ANNA’S WISH didn’t have much in her first start for this barn but perhaps the three weeks off and tougher competition came into play. If she is going to awaken, this is a great spot. (5) DANDY IDEA is as sharp as they come. I wouldn’t be shocked if she won again. Race 8: Trackmaster 74 (NW L2/2L4 74.5/75.40) or less - $14,531 Pick 8 Carryover Track officials certainly didn’t give us a “gimme” race for the opener in this Pick 6 carryover. (4) WESTERN STEPP comes off a good mile after missing almost four weeks and should be forwardly placed versus this sketchy field. That David Miller opted for #7 means we’ll get a good price if she produces. (2) SHES SO SWEET moves inside this week and will take plenty of action; threat. (8) ACEFORTYFOUR MONEY gets a barn change as she moves to the big track. Will she like it? Will it pick up her game? Race 9: Non-winners $3,000 in last 4/TM 77.5 (NW L2/2L4 78/78.75) or less/Opt. $12,500 Clm. (5) SHEZAFREAKLIKEME hasn’t been racing as badly as her finish positions indicate and she certainly drops into a winning spot tonight. I’d rather have a catch-driver but she can do with the trainer in the bike. (10) MISS CHANTILLY N took a conservative approach in her return from a few months on the sidelines. Could we see her fire out here? (1) A BETTER GAME did ok in this class when she last drew well; saves ground and gets a piece. Race 10: Non-winners $3,000 (NW L2 $3,300) in last 4/TM 77 (NW L2/2L4 77.5/78) or less/Opt. $12,500 Clm. - $50K GTD Pick 4 (4) VALLORIA N was a bit flat late in his debut for this barn after missing four weeks of action. In a field without a standout it seems worth a shot that they can get more out of this 10-year-old tonight. (1) CHING CHING LUCKY should be able to race from just off the pace this week and have a chance to pounce on the speedy (7) SHINKANSEN if he decides to slow down in the late stages of the race. He could also keep going and wire this field. Race 11: Trackmaster 74 (NW L2/2L4 74.5/75.05) or less (8) A BOY NAMED SUUZZ is another new arrival for the Levine barn and this one is a classy veteran shipping down from Canada in fine form. He has some versatility and big track experience. (7) GOTAFOOLISHDESIRE doesn’t like to win but takes a nice dip in class. He had a bit of pace from a tough post last time. (4) MAXIMUS is back in the TM74 condition and we get a driver upgrade; exotics threat. Race 12: Trackmaster 74 (NW L2/2L4 74.5/75.40) or less (6) MARE OF THE CITY is coming off a win and that makes her the sharpest horse in the field by leaps and bounds. Of course that win and all of her recent good performances have been at Monticello, so who knows if the success will carry over. (8) BULLVILLEKARLA flashed speed when last in this class and could use those tactics again; chance in this soft field. (1) SLEAZY ROLLS has been trying to make up ground from off the pace on smaller tracks. Perhaps the new surroundings will suit her better, certainly adding the Buckeye helps. [DRF HARNESS: Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter] Race 13: Trackmaster 71 (NW L2/2L4 71.5/72) or less (1) MOUNT ROYAL has some form and will likely be firing out from the inside versus a very weak group. (5) LINCOLN BOULEVARD rallied off soft fractions for second in this class with Miller added last time. (10) SHORE OF HIMSELF picks up a driver who might take a shot early from the outside post. Race 14: Trackmaster 74 (NW L2/2L4 74.5/75) or less (2) LANDING STRIP raced evenly off the bench two starts back and landed in post 10 last time. We should see his best tonight. (5) MONEY MATTERS continues to drop in class looking for form and this is certainly the weakest field she has faced. Now or never? (3) I’LL OWE YOU ONE missed the start last week due to sickness but raced very well in his prior start versus a more talented foe.
