Keeneland has named Mark Taylor, the president of Taylor Made Farms, to its board of directors, the racing and sales company announced on Thursday. Taylor, part of the family that owns Taylor Made, was named president and chief executive officer of the breeding and sales operation at the beginning of this year. Taylor Made is one of the largest consignors of horses to Keeneland’s auctions, in addition to running a commercial breeding farm. Keeneland also announced on Thursday that three longtime directors – Louis Lee Haggin III, Charles Nuckols III, and Duncan Taylor, also of Taylor Made – would be moved to “emeritus roles” on the board. Keeneland’s board serves in an advisory capacity to management of the not-for-profit company. Last year, the company added four new directors while moving two longtime directors into emeritus roles. :: DRF BREEDING LIVE: Real-time coverage of breeding and sales
