Los Alamitos has cancelled a nine-race program for Saturday evening following steady rain that fell Saturday morning and was expected to continue through the day. The decision was made shortly after noon. “There is still some rain in the forecast,” track spokesman Orlando Gutierrez said. “We’ve had a nice steady rain.” Racing is scheduled for Sunday with a nine-race program to begin at 5 p.m. Pacific. The Sunday program will include a carryover of $29,854 in the $2 pick six from Jan. 14. Join DRF Bets. Santa Anita, located 30 miles from Los Alamitos, began its Saturday afternoon program in light rain. The track had received considerably less rain than Los Alamitos by midday.
