M and M Racing has taken the early lead in the owner standings at Lone Star Park near Dallas and will attempt to pad its advantage Tuesday. The stable of Mike and Mickala Sisk has leading contenders in two of the card’s three allowance offerings, and also has the probable favorite in the nightcap. The program Tuesday is comprised of 10 races, including a maiden special weight that drew Southern Phantom, a popular runner for his unique markings, and Fortune Ticket, a 3-year-old full brother to 2017 Horse of the Year Gun Runner. The Sisks, who won the Oaklawn title in May and who reside about 40 minutes from Lone Star, will first see action in the seventh race. They have the coupled entry of Aqwaam and Starship Zeus in the first-level allowance for 3-year-olds and up at a mile. Aqwaam won a $50,000 starter allowance over a mile and a sixteenth March 7 at Oaklawn.  He’s a son of Bernardini. “He was laid off a little bit after Oaklawn,” said trainer Robertino Diodoro. “He’s ready to go. He’s been training very well.” :: Want to get your Past Performances for free? Click to learn more. Aqwaam is a front-runner who figures to again be prominent, while Starship Zeus brings a different running style to the table Tuesday. “He’s a horse that needs pace to run at,” said Diodoro. Ramon Vazquez has been named on both halves of the entry Tuesday. The race that drew 11 also includes stakes winner Potomac. The Sisks also are represented in the ninth race with Tigerbeach, who should go favored in the first-level allowance for 3-year-olds and up at five furlongs on the turf. Tigerbeach is making his local debut after being based in Southern California. He last raced Feb. 17, and was third in a 5 1/2-furlong turf sprint for which he was offered for a claiming price of $32,000. David Cabrera has the mount for trainer Karl Broberg. The Sisks will close out the card with The Red Dude in a $5,000 claiming sprint. He exits a key race, with the winner and fifth-place finisher both returning to win at Churchill Downs. Vazquez has the mount for Diodoro. The Sisks had won six races at the meet through Wednesday, for a one win advantage in the standings over End Zone Athletics. The current third-leading stable by wins with four is Winchell Thoroughbreds. The Sisks won two races Wednesday at Lone Star, and both horses were trained by Diodoro and ridden by Vazquez. Southern Phantom is making his second start of the year in the maiden race, which goes as this sixth. Danny Caldwell, who owns the horse, said his wife is working on registering Southern Phantom with the American Paint Horse Association.
