HOT SPRINGS, Ark. – It was a brother act Saturday at Oaklawn Park. K J’s Nobility won the $100,000 Nodouble under Hall of Fame rider Calvin Borel, who was aboard for his brother, trainer Cecil Borel. The Nodouble was a six-furlong race for 3-year-olds and up bred in Arkansas. K J’s Nobility ($5.60) was content to stalk the pace in fifth as Heritage Park set pressured fractions of 21.93 seconds for the opening quarter and 45.39. K J’s Nobility struck the front past the eighth pole and went on to cover the distance on a sloppy, sealed track in 1:10. Bandit’s Point closed down the center of the track for second, finishing three lengths behind K J’s Nobility. It was another 3 1/2 lengths back in third to Glacken’s Ghost. K J’s Nobility was winning his first stakes and his second straight race at the meet, following an allowance Feb. 22. He races for Carson McCord. K J’s Nobility is a son of Primary Suspect and the mare K J’s Girl, who won a past running of the Rainbow Miss Stakes for Arkansas-breds at Oaklawn.
