ARCADIA, Calif. - Jockey Tyler Baze was off his mounts Sunday, a day after he was unseated in a one-horse spill and briefly hospitalized. Baze plans to resume riding Thursday, according to his agent, Craig O’Bryan. Baze was aboard Fast Munny, who fell nearing the finish of an allowance race with a $40,000 claiming option at six furlongs. Fast Munny suffered an apparent heart attack, veterinarians told track stewards. Baze was thrown clear of Fast Munny. The 35-year-old rider was placed on a stretcher on the racetrack and taken to a local hospital, where he was released less than two hours later. “Everything is good,” Baze said late Saturday afternoon, shortly after he was discharged. O’Bryan said Baze took off Sunday because of soreness. Baze is booked to ride three of the eight races Thursday.
