Due to record heat expected in the Pacific Northwest, Emerald Downs in Auburn, Wash., and Hastings, across the border in Vancouver, British Columbia, have called off upcoming racing days. Temperatures will remain high but somewhat cooler on Tuesday. Hastings is planning to run and will move post time from 5 p.m. Pacific to 6 p.m. Emerald plans to be back in action on Wednesday.
