Bulldog Hanover, the presumptive favorite for Dan Patch Horse of the Year honors in Harness Racing, will make his next pari-mutuel start in the November 26 TVG Open Pace final at The Meadowlands. It was originally announced following his Breeders Crown Open Pace win at Woodbine Mohawk Park that Bulldog Hanover would make two more starts in 2022, with the first being on November 10 in the Potomac Pace at Rosecroft Raceway. Trainer Jack Darling confirmed on Thursday (November 3) that his charge will now qualify once leading up to what is expected to be the final race of his career before heading off to full-time stallion duty. "The logistics of shipping [to Rosecroft] from Ontario just didn't work out, especially with the Harrisburg sale going on," said Darling, who owns the 4-year-old with Brad Grant. Bulldog Hanover has won 13 of 15 races in 2022 and leads all North American Standardbreds with $1,478,231 in earnings. Earlier this year he became the all-time fastest pacer when he stopped the timer at The Meadowlands in 1:45 4/5. ► Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter
