HALLANDALE BEACH, Fla. – Room Service rallied from last after six furlongs to run down the favored Candy Kitty and draw off to a two-length victory in Sunday’s $100,000 Herecomesthebride Stakes for 3-year-old fillies over the Gulfstream Park turf course. With Joel Rosario aboard for the first time, Room Service lagged well behind the pacesetting Seeking Her Glory for the opening six furlongs of the Grade 3 Herecomesthebride. She then unleashed a steady run exiting the backstretch, came wide into the stretch, wore down Candy Kitty near midstretch, and won going away. Candy Kitty, already a two-time stakes winner at the meet, sat a perfect trip off the pace of stablemate Seeking Her Glory, wrested command in early stretch, but proved no match for the winner. Seeking Her Glory gradually weakened, finishing two lengths farther back in third. Valseuse, America, High Wire Kitten, Merry Merry Bee, Hardly, and Raging Atlantic rounded out the order of finish.     Room Service is a daughter of More Than Ready owned by her breeders, Gary and Mary West, and trained by Wayne Catalano. The win was her second in five starts. She had finished third in the Sweetest Chant Stakes in her 3-year-old debut here earlier this winter. I wanted to save her so turning for home, I’d have a lot of horse left.”
