Bleecker Street, who began her career with seven straight victories, including the Grade 1 New York Stakes, has been retired from racing and will be bred to Into Mischief, trainer Chad Brown said. Bleecker Street, a daughter of Quality Road out of the Exchange Rate mare Lemon Liqueur, was owned by Peter Brant. She began her career in August 2021 with a maiden victory at Monmouth Park and won an allowance at The Meadowlands that October. In 2022, she won an allowance, then the Grade 3 Endeavour and Grade 2 Hillsborough at Tampa Bay Downs. She then won the Grade 3 Modesty Stakes at Churchill Downs and the Grade 1 New York at Belmont in June. An attempt was made to bring her back this year but after three breezes at Payson Park this winter, Brown said it became apparent Bleecker Street would not hold up for a full season of racing.
