ETOBICOKE, Ontario – Gail Tiller, the wife of long-time Woodbine trainer Robert Tiller, died last Sunday in Toronto General Hospital. The 61-year-old had been battling cancer. The Tillers were married for 42 years, and Gail was present for many of the stable’s major wins, including the remarkable run by five-time Canadian champion male sprinter and 2017 Canadian Horse of the Year Pink Lloyd. Visitation will be on Friday from 3-5 p.m. and from 7-9 p.m. at the at the Newediuk Funeral Home, Kipling Chapel, at 2058 Kipling Ave., north of Rexdale Boulevard, in Etobicoke. The funeral service will take place in the funeral home chapel at 2 p.m. Saturday. If desired, donations to the Etobicoke Humane Society would be appreciated by the family.
