Flightline, the undefeated 4-year-old who romped to victory in the Metropolitan Mile in his only start this year, has been listed as the 3-1 morning-line favorite for the Breeders’ Cup Classic future pool, which opens on Friday. Flightline is one of 24 betting interests in the Classic future wager, along with 22 other individual horses and an “all-others” option. Betting will close at 7:30 p.m. Eastern on Sunday. Flightline, who is being pointed to the Sept. 3 Pacific Classic, is being listed as a narrow favorite over Life Is Good, 7-2 on the morning line. Next up is Olympiad, the 4-year-old colt riding a five-race win streak, at 9-2. Every other single horse in the field is listed at double-digits. Four of the horses in the future-wager field are entered to run in Saturday’s Whitney Stakes: Life Is Good, Olympiad, Hot Rod Charlie (20-1), and Americanrevolution (20-1). Others in the field, in alphabetical order: Charge It (15-1), Corniche (30-1), Country Grammar (20-1), Cyberknife (30-1), Dynamic One (30-1), Early Voting (20-1), Emblem Road (30-1), Epicenter (20-1), Express Train (30-1), First Captain (30-1), Mandaloun (30-1), Nest (20-1), Rich Strike (30-1), Royal Ship (30-1), Stilleto Boy (30-1), Taiba (30-1), Tawny Port (30-1), and Zandon (30-1). The “all-others” entry is listed at 30-1.  This weekend’s Classic future-wager pool is the first of two scheduled this year for the race. The other will open on Sept. 2 and close on Sept. 5, Labor Day. The minimum wager is $2, and takeout is 16 percent.
